Long Run has been retired.
Hope you missed backing him Peter, but I know you’ll have a few others up your sleeve.

Just read the news. Thank God for NRNB!
It’s a great shame really I’d have loved to have seen him go over those big fencex again, but alas it wasn’t to be. Glad he’s retiring in one piece. He’ll no doubt be making his presence felt on the hunting scene from now on!
March 21, 2016 at 11:00 #1239203Sam Winner & Mon Parrain have both been scratched.
VTC….Any news on why Sam Winner has been scratched? Last I heard Nicholls was aiming him for the National.
March 21, 2016 at 15:18 #1239232Sorry Jamie, just noticed him missing from the Exchange Market, I haven’t scoured Twitter yet.
Hadn’t bet him, but was looking forward to seeing him out soon. His run in The Charlie Hall was very encouraging, but he’s obviously had an issue or too this season.
March 21, 2016 at 15:21 #1239233Shame, thought he might go well…cheers.
March 21, 2016 at 16:03 #1239241Good luck with Ballycasey GD, one of the very few of mine who looks likes making the gig. Hopeful of a good run, and I’d agree, he’s one of the few left who look way overpriced.
March 21, 2016 at 16:33 #1239247will cause of causes get in lads?
March 21, 2016 at 16:42 #1239248He was 72nd in the original list Sprinter, that would have got him in comfortably in all but 2 of the last 15 runnings, but it just looks a bit tight this year. He’s going to be touch and go, and a nervy couple of weeks ahead.
Mon Parrain, Long Run & Sam Winner all above him in the list, and ruled out in the last 24 hours, and he’ll be the first one in, of those on 10-01. Double Seven is off that mark as well, but it would seem unlikely, should he win The Irish National, that he’d head here a few days later.
I suppose there’s always the danger that connections will cut their losses and head to Fairyhouse, though he didn’t fare too well in that last time he tried it.
March 21, 2016 at 16:54 #1239249Thanks VTC, nervy wait it is then!
March 22, 2016 at 02:00 #1239347I’ve already mentioned BUYWISE, who I’ve kind of followed over a cliff so far,
but now as Cheltenham is by I’ve spent a good bit of time going through the field and hope I have
added one with what I think is a very good chance at decent odds.Philip Hobb’s MENDIP EXPRESS looks like the right kind for this, and if he gets in,
he needs 9 to pull out, he won’t be anywhere near his current odds of 66/1.His seasons reappearance was at Warwick in January, in an egg and spoon race over 3m, which
he could do no more than win it easily at 1/2. A month later, in another Open Hunters’ Chase
at Fontwell over 3m 1 1/2f , he won again, getting up in the final 50 yards after having been
headed, and finishing strongly.I was there and saw him run in the Foxhunter Chase at Cheltenham this month, where he finished
8th. I thought that he ran a very decent race and looked coming to the last three that he could
well be in the mix. He didn’t manage to close them down but kept on well for 8th, beaten less
than 10 lengths. I think he needs a little cut in the ground, all his wins have been on G/S or
soft and hopefully he would get his ground at Aintree if he gets there. The most important piece of form in my book, is just over a year back (Dec 2014) where he ran a
cracker of a race in the Becher H’cap Chase over the National fences, over 3m 2f, going down 3/4
length to Oscar Time. He was keeping on really well and had Saint Are a further 3 lengths behind.
On that day he gave Saint Are 14lbs, and if they both get into the race this time, they both run
off the same mark and yet Saint Are is best priced 25/1.A stone better with SA, in decent form, and more than double the odds of that one makes him very
decent value in my book. In case he doesn’t head there, take the 66s NRNB with Bet355 or Stan James,
you could do worse in my opinion.March 22, 2016 at 13:41 #1239376G, You can’t go wrong with NRNB

Don PoliMarch 22, 2016 at 14:30 #1239382After the scratchings, can’t look any further than the classiest horse in the race Siviniaco Conti.
No reason to believe he won’t get the trip, is one of the most accurate jumpers around, and with the weights as they are, Many Clouds can’t give him 2lb and beat him. If both horses were at their best Conti would be giving him 7lb or more….if the blinkers work again….well…
He looks a cracking bet at 12/1.March 22, 2016 at 16:41 #1239396Things not went according to plan, with Our Father withdrawn through injury, that would leave my original main fancies as Cause of Causes and Midnight Prayer, who’re both touch and go to get in anyway.
Cause of Causes 36’s to 42’s
Midnight Prayer 310’s to 350’sThat would leave me with…
Ballycasey 300’s
Boston Bob 140’s to 190’s
Double Ross 250’s to 260’s
Gilgamboa 160’s
Pendra 200’s to 580’s
Rule The World 110’s to 180’sand even a few of them have the look of horses who’ll have other options anyway.
It’s highly unlikely I’ll get involved with anything else before the final decs now, but there are still some very interesting contenders.
Many Clouds, who I couldn’t have at all, and the others at the head of the market have been well discussed, though The Last Samuri does look rock solid at the weights. Guess who added The Last Samuri to the market on Betfair months ago…………and then missed all the big prices. FFS!!!
March 22, 2016 at 17:28 #1239403Everything crossed he gets in Bobby!! Come on COC !!!!
March 22, 2016 at 18:26 #1239414Oh here’s hoping Raymo, hopefully Gigginstown will let their Irish National chances all take their chance at Fairyhouse.
I’m hoping Gigginstown take their usual approach, and only have one runner, and it would be good to see JP pull one of his (please not Pendra lol) but a lot of twists and turns to come yet.

Don PoliPicked him out last night Bobby, when still down south. Just arrived back home ten mins ago
and I see from your post he is out. I did notice a slight drift on the exchanges when I was
typing it out, which is why I emphasized taking the NRNB.Bugger, I wish I’d waited a day later to trawl through them. I was having a look at O’Faolains
Boy too. I had backed Don Cossack in the GC, but also OB e/w before the off. He jumped for fun,
and looked for a long way that he might just get a place. He tired near the end, but with a slightly
less aggressive race he might be of interest. For the time being, it’s back to the drawing board
March 22, 2016 at 19:34 #1239422We need 17 to come out in the next 3 weeks for Cause Of Causes to get in.
Only 9 came out between now and the start last year :(
