March 17, 2016 at 23:56 #1238580Good Luck Sprinter
March 18, 2016 at 00:49 #1238596think don poli for me (thats the curse btw)
March 18, 2016 at 00:49 #1238598Don’t forget Smad Place, he could well be the fly in the ointment.
Certainly bring the house down (well maybe just mine) if he should win.
A mate’s girlfriend Tuesday said about liking Greys so just told her to back Smad Place and watch the race as he bounds off in front. Unfortunately she is now working but I’ve told her she must watch this horse so she’s promised she’ll record it
March 18, 2016 at 00:51 #1238600Good luck KSS but head and heart says Cue Card. After SS on Wednesday this would bring the house down
March 18, 2016 at 05:24 #1238622@homer and Moe..totally agree we need another feel good factor to turn this Festival around after some dreadful losses.
Smad Place, who looks so much like dear Desert Orchid and Cue Card one of our most loved horses must run their hearts out tomorrow for everyone who loves big bold greys and comeback kids..that will save Cheltenham and lift out hearts…and for every horse that competes tommorow to return home sound..
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...March 18, 2016 at 11:13 #1238681I my bet is on Don Cossack, but I will be cheering for Cue Card getting the 1 million bonus!
Best Wishes
SilkMarch 18, 2016 at 11:34 #1238688With Vautour out of the way I’d be pretty confident in Don Poli getting the job done.
Promises to be a good race whatever the outcome, good luck all.
March 18, 2016 at 13:25 #1238734Always fancied Vautour for this, now on Djakadam, see he’s on the drift
March 18, 2016 at 13:28 #1238737Can you image it if Djakadam gets pulled out at the last minute
Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
March 18, 2016 at 13:49 #1238746Thought it was rich hearing Ruby moaning about the ground for Djakadam. He left the Gold Cup behind yesterday on the perfect horse for this ground.
March 18, 2016 at 15:46 #1238756Don’t know what I’ve done but I seem to have cursed poor Cue Card. Brennan will forever regret going for that gap approaching a dangerous fence. A horse can’t concentrate on two things at once
March 18, 2016 at 15:48 #1238757Get in you beauty ! Best horse won it although i think Cue Card would have gone close had Brennan held him back coming down the hill.
Vautour would not have won that race even if 100% fit.

Fully agree with you on all your comments (CC biggest question still remains unanswered as to whether he would have got up the hill) – I feel a bit sorry for Djackadam who run his heart out but Ruby said on that ground he just didn’t have the pace of DC.
I have to say I was baffled by the ride Don Poli was given, Mullins said he looked outpaced from the start but I watched him quite closely early on and the jockey didn’t seem to be doing much at all to try to keep in touch – Mullins went on to say that he looks like a National horse though.
On a side note Mullins total prize money this week allegedly puts him only £40k behind Nicholls, wonder whether he will send a bigger team to Aintree to chase a Championship?
March 18, 2016 at 16:14 #1238762It wasn’t a great ride by Davy and i think he’s underestimated a couple of his rivals.
I’ve watched the replay again and it’s awful from Brennan. Crazy from such an experienced jockey.
I think Tizzard agrees because of the comments he made watching the big screen replay during his interview !March 18, 2016 at 16:34 #1238770Brennan will forever regret going for that gap approaching a dangerous fence. A horse can’t concentrate on two things at once
That basically sums it up Joe.Paddys head went,he had only just warmed up,the first circuit wasn’t the ‘Cue Card’ we know but just when he grabs the bridle Paddy decides to hit the front instead of sitting tight on the double handful he had under him…Weird behaviour but when Paddy finally surfaces from his hiding place he’ll admit he would have won easy.
March 18, 2016 at 16:44 #1238774Aye, Gord. I was a bit concerned early but he was just getting into gear, and PB should have left his move until after that fence. Sadly for him, that might be his last chance of another Gold Cup
