    Nice to see two horses from the BI, two from HongKong and two from Japan win with one winner from Meydan to make up the numbers. Wonder about the last one, 7years old gelding, probably on steroids for years.

    It’s hard to avoid the conclusion that this looked like a p155 poor renewal of a race I have never liked. A pitiful effort from Ruler Of The World with the predictable excuse trotted out that he didn’t handle the surface. Surely an operation the scale of that at Ballydoyle could lay a stretch of Tapeta on the gallops to get an inkling of whether their horses will act on the surface

    before

    sending them on the quest for big money and then watching them fall flat on their ass?

    Takes the responsibility off the shoulders of everyone by blaming the inanimate surface.But between ourselves to find this out after flying 1200 miles from home is a costly endeavor.Did the same apply to Magician?
