I hope they don’t split into two separate groups again, it will be obvious by the time the Guineas is run where the advantage lies, look out for Dawn Approach 2 furlongs from home to produce his winning run. This is going to be completely different from the Frankel parade in front of the stands I expect DA backers to be holding their breath with everything crossed that he can pull this off.
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...May 3, 2013 at 07:53 #438336Laddies returning all losing bets as a free bet (up to £25) if Dawn Approach wins the race.
Not a bad concession – especially if you think it’s a match. Although their 2/1 quote Toronado is pretty miserly (at the time of writing).

That is a generous offer! Think I’m going to put £25 on Toronado on Laddies now then and to be fair to them paddypower have DA at 2/1 as well and Betfair are only slightly better at 11/5.
May 3, 2013 at 12:00 #438368As I’m already on Dawn Approach as slightly bigger than he’s currently trading at I’ve had the same bet.
Watch a Ballydole horse hose up now.

May 3, 2013 at 18:10 #438393I was going to back chris colombo but the cheekpieces have put me right off.. like backing something in a market rasen selling hurdle.
You can look at it two ways EGS.
1) He’s working poorly and the hope is the furries will liven him up on the track.
2) They tried the pieces on at home and he worked the house down.
If the answer is ‘1’, I very much doubt Joseph would be on board.
May 3, 2013 at 19:20 #438400I’m no Flat expert, but Moojaahim looks to me to travel like a top class animal. He could do with a hot pace to deter his jock from wrestling him around, and the real secret to him could be this ground. Well worth an EW at 25s imo
May 3, 2013 at 20:00 #438406the front two in the market are probably the two best horses in the race but both to short for me the two i like each way are george vancoover and moojahim
May 3, 2013 at 20:16 #438408Well, I honestly thought Corals were talking bull plop when they said Toronado might go off favourite but right now Dawn Approach is out to 15/8 with some firms and Toronado is as low as 7/4 in places. If I were a Dawn Approach follower I would be a little concerned at the lack of faith at this late hour.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
May 3, 2013 at 20:51 #438413Its likely one of the ballydoyle runners will at least force if dictate the pace. You would think it would be mars give the two henrythenavigator colts are likely to be ridden for a turn of foot but ive been surprised many times by the choice of front runner by the stable before,no more so than when mastercraftman and fame and glory were in ridden seemingly the wrong way around in the irish champion stakes.Any theory’s on this? Or will leitir mor be allowed an easy lead? Can’t see hughes being up leitir mors ass.Hughes will probably be tracking dawn approach Who should be chasing his pacemaker shouldn’t he? I wouldnt be surprised to see dawn approach jump out and make it a test.

I’m still confident that the Dawn will Rise at Newmarket tomorrow Steve , going to get right up in the top grandstand to see the race and hope to be cheering him home come 3.40 tomorrow.
The best that can happen is now I will get a better price if I back him again on the course
Bring it on, win or lose it’ll be a great day and a great race.
Now it’s all up to Dawn Approach to bring home the prize his sire (pictured left just after he retired to stud)lost by a nose. Come on DA you can do it.Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...May 3, 2013 at 22:57 #438438Well, I honestly thought Corals were talking bull plop when they said Toronado might go off favourite but right now Dawn Approach is out to 15/8 with some firms and Toronado is as low as 7/4 in places. Bolger is 2 from 20 with his 3yr olds in England and both of those had a run prior to coming over.
Dawn Approach yet to run on quick groundI can see why he’s drifting
May 4, 2013 at 00:36 #438444they know
it’s like rats deserting a sinking ship with dawn approach

You forgot to mention C they are desperate
May 4, 2013 at 01:57 #438448Got my money on both Hannon’s horses. Funny thing is I wasn’t overly impressed by Toronado as a 2 year old despite the hype, always preferred Olympic Glory and Kingsbarns. But, I completely changed my mind about him after the Craven. And, I think the prep run could make the difference today relative to Dawn Approach. That said, I think the real bet of the race is Van Der Neer. Would still be undefeated if it wasn’t for Kingsbarns, and I thought his trial run was much better than it’s given credit for. Perfect each-way bet for me.
May 4, 2013 at 09:33 #438477Mentioned by Kieran Fallon this morning. It’s interesting that they say he’s lazy in his work because his race descriptions seem to show a lot of acceleration and battling qualities [also ‘hard held’ is mentioned]. Whether he’s good enough at this level we’ll find out later but I’m very happy with my ew on Van der Neer. Often find in races like this you can get a bit of an upset sometimes.
May 4, 2013 at 10:00 #438480Having watched the two market leaders runs at Newmarket, and taking into consideration the ground, trainer form etc i think Toronado might quicken away in the final furlong. Has more stamina than Dawn Approach but a also turn of foot off a high cruising speed on quick ground.
Ticks all the boxes – can’t say that for the Bolger horse.
May 4, 2013 at 10:52 #438491Mars appears to be going under the radar. The dark horse. I think I’ll stick a tenner on him.
