    I love Spandex Ballet, Colossus

    So true
    Funny how it seems
Always in time, but never in line for dreams
Head over heels when toe to toe
This is the sound of my soul
    This is the sound

I bought a ticket to the world
But now I’ve come back again
Why do I find it hard to write the next line?
Oh, I want the truth to be said (R Hannon)

Gas man you are ! i got the wrong song, i meant TRUE
As for the lyrics, your a poet and you know it

Only you got the joke re the lycra mentioned earlier.

Imagine we have the French Guineas this weekend.

Then we restart at Newcastle on Monday.

They have split the maiden and the novice stakes in two giving us 10 races. The lad handed the balloting will be a busy person.

They can keep their low grade handicaps. A friend of mine is not in the best of health and its not looking good. However he loves doing the distance spread at the likes of Newcastle and most meetings. I dont do the spread. But with all these huge entries surely there will be many close finishes giving me the position that it could be under the spread.

Look its a dangerous bet but an edge is an edge.

i am not a spread bettor or distance bettor (had a go now and then) Colosus the spread is 14.7 sell 16.2 buy, just be careful as the surface will be hard going. As said I am not an expert in spreads but going under could be tough.

    good luck :good:

In my attempt to get Pinatubo beaten, I’m also looking at Royal Dornoch. Bred to be a miler, he looks like a better horse than his price suggests. Probably won’t play until the decs (because AOB has put better horses than him in as pacemakers – yes, I’m talking about Treasure Beach. YES, I’M STILL BITTER, DAMMIT) but I’d be interested to hear why not him.

    Anyone want to argue against?

So don't run, just like the others always do

I’ve backed Royal Dornoch at 40s ew- like that course form and guaranteed to stay.

There’s your argument FLD…every time I back an AOB outsider it gets a boot in the ribs coming out the gates and runs like it has been trained for the Epsom Dash. If he is the pacemaker I hope he does a Sovereign ;-)

I would say New World Tapastry looks like the pacemaker if AOB wants to use one. Royal Dornoch is likely too exposed now to be a Guineas winner and Kameko was clearly not at his best in the Royal Lodge. That said I wouldn’t be very surprised if he placed and he rates a fair EW chance at 40s if you can get that

    2 Arizona 5/1
    3 Cepheus 50/1
    4 Juan Elcano 50/1
    5 Kameko 8/1
    6 Kenzai Warrior 20/1
    7 Kinross 12/1
    8 Military March 14/1
    9 Mums Tipple 25/1
    10 New World Tapestry 100/1

    13 Royal Dornoch 33/1

The odds i’m guessing was from a particular bookmaker at the time of publication.

Il likely back royal dornoch in the place market

Cant see him winning but wouldnt be surprised at all if he is in the places

Dont think it looks a very strong race personally bar pinatubo and struggling to get excited for it

The 1000 is a more interesting race imo

I hope the field does split. Mums Tipple loved being out on his own at York. Ddrawn 1, could he get out on his own on the far side? If I remember rightly it was a Hannon horse Redback that split the field in Rock Of Gibraltar / Hawkwing’s year.

Looking through those likely to front run or race prominently. I’d say New World Tapestry will lead (Drawn 8) if fast enough, closely followed by Royal Dornoch (2), with in the group following (in no particular order)… Military March (3), Mums Tipple (1) Kensai Warrior (6) and the only prominent runner drawn high Juan Eleano (14).

Arizona (13) may have to make an earlier move than Moore might want. Otherwise could be caught further back on the arrowhead than they’d like.
