+50pts total
Ascot 1255
Ashfield’s Dream 1pt e/w @ 14-1
Think he has a decent chance on ground and distance.
Ascot 130
Prince Taime 2pts win @ 5-1
Edgebriar 1p win @ 10-1
Always liked Prince Taime as a hurdler and think he has conditions right to put in a good run today. If his jumping doesnt hold up Edgebriar is the alternative.
Ascot 205
Inventor 1pt e/w 2pts win @ 20-1 (Betfred)
Think this horse is a pretty classy act and may be hard to beat today at a brilliant price.
King Olav 1pt e/w 1pt win @ 33-1 (Ladbrokes)
If there is one horse who I think could beat inventor it will be this one I think.
ONLY JUST REALISED THAT THIS DIDNT POST AFTER ASHFIELD DREAM WON, SO HE WON’T COUNT….ARRRGHHH!!!!!
November 20, 2009 at 14:29 #259619+50pts coming into today
-10 outlay
= +40pts coming into today
Inventor returns 68pts
King Olav returns 7.6pts
+75.6pts
+40pts
= Running total of
+115.6pts
Happy with that but had a wee sneaky reverse forecast on King Olav and Intentor which paid 214.64. Happy days…
November 20, 2009 at 19:48 #259660Ascot Hurdle
Katchit 4pts win @ 5-1
Red Moloney 1pt e/w 2pt win @ 25-1
Reasons explained on the Ascot Hurdle thread.
Haydock 220
Kayf Aramis 3pts win @ 8-1 (Paddy Power)
Wendel 3pts win @ 14-1 (Betfred)
Think Kayf Aramis travels excellently and should go well if it becomes a slog in the mud tomorrow. Wendel is a bit of an unknown quantity over this trip but I remember when he was on soft last year at ascot (I think), and he travelled excellently on soft ground, I think he could go well here.
November 21, 2009 at 00:36 #259707Very well done if you had posted earlier I would,ve backed Inventor because Manyriverstocross was vulnerable imo but didn’t know which one might beat him because there was hardly any hurdling form to go on.
PS (Chepstow form can never be taken literally.)November 21, 2009 at 11:10 #259738Sorry Stacelita, had a heavy one on thursday night and didnt get on here until noon, then realised that my post hadnt went through just after the first race, and was gfutted but was happy with the third race.
Ascot 130
Gold Reef 1pt e/w 1pt win @ 14-1
Speed Bonnie Boat 1pt e/w @ 20-1
Think GR has a decent chance here on this ground, the alterbnative would be spped bonnie boat.
Ascot 205
Qrackers 1pt e/w 1pt win @ 11-1
Cornas 2pt win @ 9-2
Qrackers should have a really good chance on this ground, especially with such a low weight, Cornas is the only alternative for me and may also do a reverse forecast on that pair.
Ascot 310
Panjo Bere 1pt e/w 1pt win @ 40-1
Medicinal 1pt e/w @ 100-1
Both horses look a bit outclassed here but not all the best ones here will love the good ground and think these two should love it, with 8 runners paying 1st 3 places, these look well worth an e/w shout because of that.
November 21, 2009 at 19:28 #259839That was some top tipping there on Friday Bulwark. Keep up the good work!
November 22, 2009 at 07:29 #259918Cheers Doug, will try to. Was actually pretty confident yesterday, but just didnt work out, think going changed overnight, was picking for good ground and almost every bet came with a good chance with a few to go and just didnt get home. C’est La Vie. Hopefully better next time.
115.6pts going into yesterday
-29pts outlay
+10.5 pts back from Red Moloney and Gold Reef placing
= +97.1ptsNovember 22, 2009 at 10:04 #259934Navan 1255
Quietly Fancied 4pt win @ 12-1 (Ladbrokes)
Comes here with a run and sould handle ground conditions better than the rest, if they are indeed heavy. Dont think he’ll be beaten.
November 22, 2009 at 10:24 #259937Quietly fancied another 3.1 pt win @ 12-1 (Ladbrokes)
Have had to get the nuts out for this one as he looks far too overpriced here. I really hope that ground is heavy. Heres hoping…
November 22, 2009 at 10:38 #259941Aintree 1205
Ben Bens 1pt e/w 1pt win @ 14-1
Girly Whirly 1pt e/w @ 66-1 (William Hill)
Ben Bens is just the type I would like for a race like this, and hoping he goes well, Girly Whirly could run into a place…
November 22, 2009 at 10:50 #259945Navan 205
Sun Tzu 2pt win @ 10-1
Think he has a cracking chance here, should love trip and ground and not too badly weighted.
Aintree 1235
Always Waining 1pt e/w 1pt win @ 14-1
Liked the look of him and Frankie Figg and he was the better price, then noticed he’s pretty solid in the market, may as well have a go on him.
November 22, 2009 at 14:30 #25999897.1 pts
17.1PTS OUT
3.8 pts back on benbens+83.8 pts
Aintree 255
Overtly Blue 0.5pt e/w 1pt win @ 66-1
Like the look of this one for these terms, obviously a bit of a concern that doesnt appear fancied but still going to have a go.
November 23, 2009 at 12:08 #260129Ffos Las 1220
Hectors House 2pt win @ 10-1 Coral
Rio Gael 1pt win @ 11-1 Betfred
1/2pt rev f/c
Just in from work and spotted this pair, think Hectors House has a good chance here, Rio Gael is also dangerous if seeing out the trip.
November 23, 2009 at 12:39 #260139Kempton 1250
Epidavros 2pt win @11-1
Think this one of alan kings may be worth a bet as he could well be a likely type and he beat giorgio quercus of hendersons in france who was quite an early progressor. I have dreamed looks the best here but he has always been quirky and couldnt be backed with confidence here.
November 25, 2009 at 12:15 #260420Chepstow 110
Silver Kate 2pt win @ 8-1 Betfred
Bottom weight, should like trip and ground, nothing much else i like the look of in race, looks a bet
Wetherby 120
Kosta Brava 3PT win @ 14-1
Think this one of Howard Johnsons has been wanting soft ground but has always been tried on quicker conditions, opted for today by O’Regan so worth a go.
Chepstow 215
Thomondgate 2pt win @ 13/2
This one is just the type I’d like for a race like this so figure hes a bet at a nice enough price in a 7 runner race.
November 25, 2009 at 14:07 #260432Wetherby 225
Bachelor Days 1pt e/w 2pt win @ 40-1
After looking at the result of the wetherby 120 I have noticed that Mr Prospectors filled the first two home which on soft ground is a bit too much of a coincidence for me so have had a go on this one in the 225 at a big price as he wouldnt have been suited to ground last time out.
November 25, 2009 at 14:36 #260434Oh well
+75.8pts coming into today
-11pts out
+ 18 back on Silver Kate= +82.8
Profit made for today so cant complain.
