Taunton 325
Gunship 2pt win @ 9-1 VCBet
Eres Alfie 2pt win @ 14-1
Nothing to do with 2mile hurdle races at all, just like the look of this pair and hope they can do something in a weak enough looking race.
November 26, 2009 at 10:30 #260561Newbury 1225
Edes The Best 1pt e/w 2pt win @ 33-1
Think this looks a decent type and looks like has always wanted a step up in trip. Hopefully she can go well as dont see any significant problem with her doing it and she doesnt have a huge amount of improvement necessary to get involved. And of course Ede holiday starts in Saudi Arabia tomorrow so what a sign. Only negative is not too solid in the market but thats sometimes the way of it.
November 26, 2009 at 11:58 #260576I like your preference for value outside bets thatm ay or may not come off, but I saw Ere’s Alfie’s poor effort at Fontwell last timed when he was supported in the market but was a mile behind – although he’s dropped a further 5lb today and facing less testing ground, he is still a maiden and a bit of a leap of faith for a bet IMO.
I’m more interested in Gunship who is on his last winning mark and goes in the conditions, looks a good bet to me.
November 27, 2009 at 11:07 #260717Following my post below about his last race, Mith Hill runs again in the 205 at Newbury today and has to be worth backing each way
I also backed Williams’ Mith Hill in the 335 which got almost brought down by a faller with 3 or 4 hurdles to go. With the jockey with his legs out of the stirrups he was nevertheless closing on the leaders only to be brought down by another faller at the second last! So, one to watch as they say.
November 27, 2009 at 11:19 #260720Cheers Zebra, will check him out. Have only been through the first card at newbury so far, as only just got up and going for breakfast, so need to get the first race picked. lol Hope you’ve had a wee go on wierd al for the RSA, reckon he could well be the best horse Ian Williams has had in the whole time Ive been following him.
Newbury 100
Prince Pippin 2pt win @ 13/2 (Stan James)
1pt e/w Ice Colt @ 50-1
Nicholls has the favorite here, who IMO should have a good chance here if they go a fast pace but heres a terrible price to do so and IMO Prince Pippin is th one to beat at a much better price. I like the webber yard, and think Ice Colt looks an intersting newcomer, especially as he could have found easier races for him to debut in. Should go in the ground and is also worth a bet e/w. Other than than that I think Me Voici of Nick Williams is in with a shout but dont care to play him here.
November 27, 2009 at 13:42 #260777Newbury 205
Mith Hill 2pt win @11-1
Have to agree with zebra, looks well weighted and has a 10lb claimer on board. Theres some strength in depth here.
Newbury 315
Song of Songs 2pts @ 13/2
This has always been a decent horse, shouldnt be hindered by ground and should go well.
November 27, 2009 at 14:14 #260782A good run there Zebra, but Lie Forrit is just top class, was looking to get some odds for Lie Forrit for the world hurdle before the race but he wasnt even in the betting for it, imagine he will be soon…
November 27, 2009 at 14:19 #260784Agreed ran a really good race but had no chance at all with the winner
December 5, 2009 at 14:36 #262265Sandown 300
Pasha Bere 4pt win @ 7-1
Reckon he should go well on the testing ground. Looks a bet.
December 6, 2009 at 12:02 #262403Warwick 1210
Hector Sceptre 4pt win @ 10-1 (Stan James)
Not solid in the market but should love ground and trip and should go very well. A bit late, as just in from work
December 6, 2009 at 12:28 #262405Warwick 1240
Signatory 1pt e/w 1pt win @ 40-1 William Hill
After how Hector Spectre ran in the first race, and the fact that mre prospectors filled 2 of the placings im not convinced its trully soft. If it isnt then signatory should give mea run for my money and the first two arent invincible on a decent surface.

I see a couple of "your" horses are running at Cheltenham tomorrow, Weird Al and Wolf Moon. Will you be playing up your winnings on them?
February 28, 2010 at 13:59 #279666Have been internetless until recently zebra, just fancied a few today. Looking forward to wierd al in the R+SA as Im sure you are too.
Leopardstown 350
Coscorrig 1pt e/w 1pt win @ 33-1
Copsiano 1pt e/w 1pt win @ 33-1
Think these two could go well at decent prices today over trip and ground.
February 28, 2010 at 14:34 #279674Leopardstown 245
1/2PT E/W 1PT WIN @ JOSSESTOWN LAD @ 28-1
1/2PT E/W 1PT WIN TIAN SHAN @ 66-1 (both prices with VCBet)
Reckon both of these two could show improvement on the ground, cant be ruled out at fair prices.
March 14, 2010 at 11:53 #282256Limerick 255
Blazing Tempo 1pt e/w 1pt win @ 18-1 VCBet
Quite like the look of this one in opposition to Morning Supreme at a much nicer price, hopefully she’ll go well.
