Almost certainly better than the bare form suggests.

    And obviously progressive.

Harry Potter was distinctly non-commital afterwards. Even by a politicians standards.

I can see the wisdom in taking it slowly CAS, but I’m a Clive Brittain type of bloke. There is only one Guineas – go for it.

Plus, I’ve backed her today, and Shakey Ahmed and the Young Wizard need to consider the most important factor of the decision – these colours owe me a considerable amount of Classic ante-post money, since Hala Bek went from winner to unplaced in one bizarre dance manoever in The Derby.

I hear you, TTC. If she does turn up I probably will back her each way. She looked good today.

Thought it looked a very average race personally and catchet will need to find a good bit to be winning this

Though it doesn’t look a deep race at this stage admittedly

It was nice to hear that Inspiral is still alive.

Currently 85% fit according to ‘Big Gozza’, as Matt Chapman somewhat nauseatingly referred to him as today.

A very accurate analysis of the percentage. The Real Slim Thady must have a calculator watch.

I’m actually very glad I don’t have to listen to this stuff as you very kindly pass it on to me.

I’d prefer a Tour Of Duty to listening to a John Gosden interview with Matt Chapman.

    I’m not entirely confident, tbh.

Gosden’s Newmarket Guineas Classic record isn’t the best.

You’d think having a daughter of Frankel who was better than the rest would make this easy, but if he can find a way to F it up, he will.

A deliberation, to be sure. Fear not ID, I’ll keep you updated on the ITV shenanigans, especially the ones which annoy me. When the ‘Big Gozza’ line came out I screwed up my face and shook my head in a disgusted fashion, as you would expect.

Regarding Inspiral, fear not as ‘Big Gozza’ insists you are on target. I vividly remember the likes of Rainbow View though, so I fully understand your concerns. She wouldn’t be for me.

    LOL
It’s a wonder the racing presenters ask anything…
And a wonder trainers answer anything about their horses…
With so many punters reacting negatively to either what they say or how they say it.

    Excellent news – thank you.

“especially the ones which annoy me”

Comprehensive updates likely, then, as there are sure to be plenty of those.

Chris Richardson, managing director for her owners Cheveley Park Stud, reports the filly in good shape, despite the daughter of Frankel not having had an intended racecourse gallop.

“She’s fine and like all these things the spring hasn’t been 100 per cent straightforward, but she’s in good form,” said Richardson.

“We were hoping to get a racecourse gallop into her, which we weren’t able to do, but John (Gosden) is happy and we’ve got a week to go, so we’re keeping our fingers crossed that everything falls into place.”

    “Getting their excuses in early”

Sounded a bit ominous to me too, tbh, and I’ve backed her ante-post!

I could see her being VERY weak in the betting on the day and maybe not even starting favourite.

Ante-post liabilities are tiny compared to what bookmakers take on the day and course bookmakers will be betting on the race from scratch – the fact she’s been favourite all winter won’t mean “Jack” to them.

5s&6s inspiral seems extreme if its only based off her not getting a run

Something a miss at that kind of drift seems more likely…
