Ghaiyyath runs at Longchamp tomorrow Jac (sorry to the others for the wrong thread)
I already wrote it in Joni’s thread, but he seems to be not available.
Have you or others heard anything if this horse is fit and well?
They even bring a pacemaker and their 2 top jockeys over, so the intention to win should be there..April 6, 2019 at 13:05 #1416549Hein I posted a reply to your question in Joni’s thread
Yes Jac, really looking forward to seeing start out today…

Thank you for the heads up on Ghaiyyath Hein, I’ve been waiting so long for this horse to appear again, remember Joni was there also at Newmarket the first time we set eyes on him and he stood out from the rest looking like a 3 year old he owned the race. Joni might remember I picked put a 40/1 2nd from the pre parade having his first run called Proschema.I can only say tbat I don’t think we have seen the best of Ghaiyyath yet he wins his races eith ease and I’ll be on him tomorrow come what may.
Buckhurst has won the first at Leopardstown today at 7/2 and ….
getting this Thread back on track waiting to see how IRIDESSA fairs in the next race, off soon, think she will be a big player in this year’s 1000 Guineas..best of luck Nathan and Hein JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...April 6, 2019 at 14:57 #1416573I was happy enough with IRIDESSA there Jac
the distance of 7f was short enough for her and going around a bend.
She drifted from 2’s to 5’s so was not fancied one bit going by the market and faded late on so I’d be thinking that she was in need of the run and should be better next time at a longer distance.
The winner looked very smart todayBlackbeard to conquer the World
April 6, 2019 at 15:00 #1416574Agree Nathan…Not given a hard time once Lady Kaya had flown and possibly needed the race, as you said, so pleased with Iridessa’s run today. Jac
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...April 16, 2019 at 15:46 #1417788I’ve just had some of that 12/1 for Qabala for this.
Thought that run was very impressive and the money for her told. I actually tried to get that 66/1 before the off but missed it. Searched around for the 40/1 elsewhere but the markets were suspended so missed out.
But this 12s is surely still too big.
Qabala @ 12/1
April 16, 2019 at 15:47 #1417789Call it lucky but I backed Qabala at 40-1 for this before the stalls opened in the Nell Gwynn.
April 16, 2019 at 15:56 #1417790Mighty impressive looking. Could argue she’s beat a lot of average enough 2yo 6f/7f fillies. But it was her 2nd start so probably me just nitpicking.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!April 16, 2019 at 16:02 #1417792I thought the Gosden horse was a bit of an eye catcher there. Missed the break by a fair few lengths and came home well.
April 16, 2019 at 16:11 #1417793Wasn’t that by design, botchy? Or at least being last away.
Angel’s Hidaway may need hold up tactics in order to stay 7f, let alone a mile.Value Is EverythingApril 16, 2019 at 16:11 #1417794Wow very impressive from Qabala. I was in Newmarket when she ran her first race beating Desirious and Rainbow Heart. Though I expected big things from Rainbow Heart this season….didn’t expect this horse to improve so much during winter. Not trying to jinx Qabala but her running style reminds of Alpha Centauri

Who know’s Ginge
April 16, 2019 at 16:33 #1417798tbh When I looked at form beforehand, Angel’s Hidaway seemed the most likely to be held up out the back. So apart from possibly losing a length more than ideal (which can happen – especially first time out) came from the expected position.
Value Is EverythingApril 16, 2019 at 16:43 #1417802That’s your winner as long as the ground is quick-ish. Serious filly to do that off a track bias, on her second start.
April 16, 2019 at 17:07 #1417808Thing is there have been some smart fillies with very similar profiles over the last 10yrs who have done the same. Trouble is they falter to deceive come the big day.
April 16, 2019 at 18:29 #1417817She isn’t odds-on, newyork.
Just seen it again; Qabala even more impressive than I thought.
Wouldn’t rule out the second Mot Juste with another furlong or so, either.I’m already on Skitter Scatter, but Qabala should be fav. Just wish I still had a Unibet account.
Qabala did get a bit sweaty just before the off, hope she doesn’t boil over on the big day.Value Is EverythingApril 16, 2019 at 19:48 #1417829Don’t worry Ginger Qabala was the perfect little lady today and seeing her in the paddock and in the cooling down area after the race she didn’t sweat that much.
I put her in my notebook when she won her Maiden last year and she remains unbeaten and the way she powered up the hill very impressive.
Mot Juste will come on for that run and Roget Varian has a nice hand to play for the 1000 Guineas.
Will post a picture of Qabala up later tonight if I can get it to work Jac
