I wouldn’t be that put off by TNL’s run considering he was the one most inconvenienced by the slow gallop and I would strongly suggest that connections simply get a pacemaker for him for the future (not like JP couldn’t find one to do the job).
Yes he is primarily a 2m4f horse but many of those have dropped back in trip to win Champion Hurdles but they all required the race to be run at a proper end to end gallop (many also made their own running, which won’t work for him hence the pacemaker suggestion) and those conditions would give TNL the best chance to win but then it would also suit Lossiemouth as well.
