The Looneys have had some pretty good policies over the years I believe, at least one of them was taken on by one of the big parties and actually happened. I think it was lowering the voting age? I still have a newspaper cutting of a letter he sent into the Observer in which he points out that he is the longest serving party leader in the country after Thatchers departure ( what would he have thought of the previous governments turnover of party leaders?).
