No relation i’m afraid.
Anyway, here’s two horses well deserving of a mention on any ‘tops’ list.
GRUNDY – Derby winner …. epic race with Bustino.
CAPTAIN CHRISTY – Gold Cup winner …..beat Bula 30 lengths in King George.
What more do you want!
Nice piece on Channel 4 Racing last weekend where Nicky Henderson chose Arkle along with Mill House, See You Then and Frankel as his favourite racehorses of all time.

3.05 GoulanesSnap Tie looks good value.
His flying dismount says it all.
Having already put forward Poquelin as a likely winner, I must put in a good word for
Time For Rupert
.
Top class staying hurdler{gave Big Bucks something to think about}and first season novice chaser, was made warm favourite for RSA Chase at the Cheltenham Festival only to dissapoint.{similar profile to Grands Crus}
Highly tried his form since has been sketchy without being hopeless.
Coming back in trip and off a fair handicap mark{11-4], the big field and fast pace could bring out the best in him.
No forlorn hope!

……1.40 Win.
Zarkandar.
………..2.50 Win.
Zarrafakt…
………3.25 Win.{Nap}
No PRICEWISE here I hope!
Zarrafakt for me.
Lightly raced, c/d winner and goes well fresh.
Could start fav. though!
I can resist everything but temptation!
My initial thoughts on the race would be that Art Scholar has sound e.w. claims.
Ran second in big runner field over c/d last time out and time before that ran second to First Mohican at Nottingham.
Songcraft, Retrieve{Godolphin} and Kirthill are others to consider.
Looked pretty scary.
Spitting and all!
Does anyone remember John Rickman?
Now that’s a presenter.
Good points you make
Young Fella
, but Poquelin’s credentials for this race seem water tight.
Loves Cheltenham, lightly raced last season and in the previous season beat
Great Endeavour
, the winner of last year’s Paddy Power Gold Cup into second place in the Boylesport aka Vote A.P. McCoy Gold Cup over the same course & distance.
It’ll be interesting to see what Nicholls actually runs in the race as he seems to have half his stable entered {8 at the last count}
At around 25/1 as we speak it looks good value.
Having said all this it might fall ! !
Best of Luck ! !
