And what about ‘The Variety Club’ day at Sandown? He’s in his element there. I can’t watch.
I agree with Kid Choc that Frisco Depot should go well. Well handicapped with Magnanimity on their running in Ireland. Hope the jockey claims the full allowance. Put up 2lbs overweight at Ascot.
I was looking at a different race uploaded by HAZiiboo a year ago.
Found some footage of a dog chasing some horses at a point to point on YouTube. The only commentator it sounds like that i can think of is Darren Owen
Nice to hear from you both and sorry for the delay.
And the winner is Bachelor’s Hall.
Lee Mack – the first horse he sat on at the stables was, yes you’ve guessed it, Red Rum.
Eddie Reavey – trained a few good 2 and 3 year olds in the 60’s and 70’s.
End of term report – written by Eddie’s wife Jocelyn.
‘Alex is a nice lad underneath but everytime you leave him to do a job he disappears to the bookies. Apart from anything else, it’s illegal for a fifteen-year-old. He has certain ability as a horseman but no staying power. As a worker , he’s well nigh hopeless.’
Arguably Fred Winter’s best steeplechaser, and that’s saying something!
Raced in an era filled with fantastic horses and trainers.
I’d love to see Long Run take on the National fences, as i would for any great horse.
Very unlikely to happen though as the owner has other options for the race, one being the recently purchased Frisco Depot trained by Charlie Longsdon.
O.K i’ll try this one for starters.
What current well known entertainer was once a stable lad at Ginger McCain’s and at whose stable did Alex ‘Hurricane’ Higgins have aspirations of becoming a jockey.
Both names please.
Sorry i’m a bit late.
It must be you……Bachelor’s Hall
Bregawn
I thought Bothy ran a blinder last Sunday. Must be one of the most unluckiest horses in training. Deserves to win a big one.

No relation i’m afraid.
Anyway, here’s two horses well deserving of a mention on any ‘tops’ list.
GRUNDY – Derby winner …. epic race with Bustino.
CAPTAIN CHRISTY – Gold Cup winner …..beat Bula 30 lengths in King George.
What more do you want!
Nice piece on Channel 4 Racing last weekend where Nicky Henderson chose Arkle along with Mill House, See You Then and Frankel as his favourite racehorses of all time.
