People want everything to be easier in this day and age.

There is a call in Australia to change the race order of the Caulfield Cup 2400m – Cox Plate 2040m – Melbourne Cup 3200m to have the Cox Plate first as it a more natural progression.

    Leave them as they are.

He’d get plenty of rides from Stoute and Ballydoyle wouldn’t he ?

And of course the price would need to be reasonable to back him for the title. He’d be no short priced commodity.

What is it about Group 1 races in non-Anglophone countries that makes them a “must ignore” for the RP, Sporting Life, ATR, and bookmakers’ sites?

Yet shiteholes like Delaware and Sunland Park get extensive coverage?

Are there really people who’d rather bet on that rubbish than on races like the Arima Kinen?

This is a frustration I have too.

The exchanges boycott Hong Kong, the Japan Cup and other excellent Eastern races yet will cover naff races.

The RP only put this in a hidden place otherwise I wouldnt have even known Meisho was bowing out tonight

I think you will find that exchanges are not allowed to bet on these races.

Sharp As, what a great NH horse you were.

Jumps racing is just not popular in Australia, we do not get any coverage of the great jumps racing from Europe, our TV channels would rather telecast poor quality all weather flat racing from Europe than take in Cheltenham.

As far as i know we do not have a single card all year where the whole program is for jumpers.

As MDeering said our ground is too firm, and the obstacles are atrocious.

I have argued that we should have proper jumps, but those who argue against it tell us that the fatality rate in the UK over proper obstacles is far worse than Victoria. Is this true ?

Hopefully when he takes on the big boys again they give him that sort of chance again.

Surely they would take this opportunity to have Ravens Pass up on the pace throughout ?

I see Sixties Icon is slated for the Breeders Cup Marathon, someone should talk some sence to the owners and tell Melbourne is far more suitable.
