I have an excellent raffle system, but think i`ll keep it to myself – Ginge would only ridicule it anyway :?

Blimey Ginge., i`ve never seen anyone climb so far out of their pram as Billion has. That`s some affect you have there.

I mean, here we have a couple of guys passing the time on a forum in a mild mannered way, then up pops Ginge., and all hell breaks loose!!

Suppose that`s what over exposure in the media does for you. :D

Bit of deja vu here Ginge. If i remember rightly you had a pretty awful run this time last year until the second day of Glorious Goodwood, when you turned it round completely and made up all of the lost ground. Bit of a way to go till then though. :?

Well done yesterday Ginge., – latest from Racing Post live:-

    Epsom latest: Fresh ground
The rail which dolled out the far side of the course by up to six yards from the mile start to the winning post yesterday has been removed, meaning there is fresh ground by that rail.

Epsom latest: View on the ground
A member of Brian Meehan’s team beat Andrew Cooper back to the finishing post after walking the course with a rather big stick.
He told me: "It’s beautiful good ground after that rain"

Not sure why you are crowing about 200 pages, we have to put up with the equivalent of 200 pages of your drivel every time we go racing!! :?

Hope the Lambourn visit went well, and you weren`t too hard on Big Bob – to be fair he was nearly right with Obliterator which was hammered in the market before the off….Spencer then decided he was a hold up horse whether that suited him or not! :?

Couple of things that came out of the Craven meeting for me – firstly i think the old crystal ball will need to kept close to hand whenever a Godolphin runner turns up to try and see how they will run on the day, and secondly, Spencer`s riding. Do trainers really ask him to hold the vast majority of runners out the back to try and pass just about everything to win or does he do it off his own initiative? Yet with Hamza, he blasts off from the front and nothing gets to him! Mystified am i :?:

I did enjoy Mull Of Killough`s win in particular – game performance.

Newbury Racecourse has its own Railway Station Nathan, right outside the gate. Just make sure your train actually stops at the Racecourse Station, not just Newbury Station.

    @Nathan

Newbury station itself is not a million miles away – within walking distance – so if that station is easier you can go there.

    Hi Ginge.,

Hopefully the early flat season results will be kinder to you this year than last – frankly can`t stand to see you in tears so often!!

Presume you`ll be going to Newbury today? Personally i`ve decided on Fontwell as the card is interesting, but will see you tomorrow all things being well. Hopefully Johnny G. can get you off to a nice start today.

Hi Ginge – right, first things first, can`t let that last comment go – " Ginge yawns"!! Where do you think you are – Facebook??
You`ll be telling us you`ve just taken the rubbish out next for flips sake!!

Well done with Uxizandre yesterday, particularly pleasing that he grabbed a grade 1 having watched his career develop around Newbury and Plumpton earlier.

The theorising would hold little little interest for you as it`s not a value based concept, more a steady drip method really, but we shall see.

Regarding that day you missed at Newbury recently, i did intend to post a message on here, went to do so then lost internet connection, so thought sod it………..thought it might be the old blood sugar count, but glad it`s okay.

Good luck rating Golan, not sure what to think myself other than previously posted really.

Morning Ginge and everyone, been away testing and theorising an idea – might have something but needs a lot more testing!

Terrific write up on the Grand National entries, which suggests to me that your social life has hit rock bottom

As for Golan Way, as you know i have been out of the loop for some while now, but i fear he is still being poorly campaigned and Bates, who runs the syndicate, remains clueless imo.

I believe that horse still retains his ability, and on recent evidence, his enthusiasm too, but, historically, he likes to dominate smaller fields so a field such as this will not be to his liking at all. He has never traveled this far so that will also be a test, but when he has been stepped up, he has not really been found wanting yet, although this is a different ball game.

As you say, being only a small horse, these fences will prove a challenge, and he does take the odd liberty at times!! Will be supporting him morally, and hope he comes back in one piece.

    Best of luck to all

Morning Ginge., i trust all is well in the north part of Hampshire.

Couple of spanners to possibly chuck in your works. going at Cheltenham now heavy, soft in places, and Rock On Ruby is a non runner…..saver bet i appreciate.

Interesting selection with Valdez, i presume you are happy that AK is over his woes, or are you just taking a weeny bit of a chance?

Barney Curley eh? Well played i say. Give that man a knighthood

Well spotted with the Haydock race Ginge., never considered that a possibilty.

Yep, see you Weds., fish and chips may well be off the menu still though, unless they`ve moved the outlet.
Might even have to consider something healthy :?

Come on Ginge., would have expected some witty riposte by now, there is no time to rest on your laurels, work to be done :P

If you should be awake still and as things are a little quiet do you have thoughts yet on the Betfair Hurdle on 8th Feb at Newbury.

Looking at both of Nicholls runners, Irving, who i would expect to go off a lot shorter than the 8`s on the machine at present and Ptit Zig.

Something for you to chew on maybe?

Definite turn around in form Ginge, nicely done……..looks like the carpet fitting can go back on hold for now at least  I daresay the thought of having to carry the carpets on your back to each job from now on did the trick

    Bleedin` `ell, bleedin` `ell, bleedin` ell…..repeat 3 more times at least.

When we were at Newbury last week Ginge., just as he left, i asked Len if any of his horses were running shortly. He said that it was likely to be Benefique Royale at Leicester on Thursday. Leicester came and no horse so i forgot about it until i came back in on Saturday, after a busy morning, just to see her power up the Sandown hill to win at 12/1!! Bleedin` `ell again.

As for your own efforts, sadly only the very first horse you selected for today obliged. Nuff said.
Good job GDC ain`t about to lay into you for backing all those horses in a couple of races and not getting the winner…criminal if you ask me. :D
