God, I love this ground.
Bit of a stroll round really for both Mountainous and Otago Trail
No worries, great stuff! I thought I’d offer as I’ve just moved up to Chesterfield, 30 miles from my previous so have no friends/life and will have plenty of spare time!
I’ve been at my place 20+ years and still no friends/life.

I know hindsight can be a wonderful thing but i can`t help thinking you may have deserted your own philosophy there Ginge. Sunny Ledgend has course and heavy ground form as well as stamina to keep going up that hill.
Well that`s marvellous then Ginge., i shall be praying for biblical weather all the time from now on as you seem to have it all covered and every heavy ground race put up will make us loads of money
Decent outcome yesterday Ginge, as i thought the amount of rain that fell turned things somewhat sloppy under hoof making it more of a lottery.
Hmmm, having watched the early races and, together with recent figures, bit concerned that the Skelton stable form may have gone………….We shall see.

Sadly i was not on that one Ginge., although i would have been a bit peed off if i was paying a measly 49.70 when it should be at least 70 for 2 8/1 shots.
Glad you had a nice winner though – somewhat spoilt by the antics of the very juvenile-like Peace and Co. however.

My one ounce is spread very thinly.Good luck at Fontwell Softie, I had a look at the card – too difficult for me – ended up in Scotland.
Have to admit it was a bit grim at Fontwell yesterday GInge, drizzled all afternoon and pretty dark too, so not surprised you couldn`t find a bet there. Bumper proved interesting though, might be one or two decent ones come out of it in time.
Have to go and sort my hi-fi out now though- playing an old vinyl record and im sure the needles got stuck, coming out with the same thing over and over……Best of luck today.Excellent results Joni., given yourself a target to beat next year now, so no pressure

Just had a look at this 3:40 race Mark. Could be fascinating, as you say bags of pace, and in fact just about every horse seems to lead or race prominently. Depending on the amount of rain they get at Stratford, which could slow the ground further, the finish could be interesting – may well be a lot of tired horses crossing the line.
Stamina might be the key.Then again…….?
