Oh Gossamer!! What a gorgeous little girl she was!!
Gerald Leigh’s colours hold good memories for me!!
Barathea, Markofdistinction and Gossamer to name but a few.
Gossamer was soooooooooooo good on soft ground!!Sorry slipped into memory mode

I have seven online accounts and have never been refused a bet!! Does that mean I am a loser or just lucky in that I have never asked for enough on to ring alarm bells??
I have to agree ALB!! I never bother any more with high street bookies for anything like a sizeable bet.
I went into three of them to try and back Razor Royale for the Racing Post Chase about two weeks before the event and was offered 20/1 in one when it was available at 33/1 online and then went into another and was offered 20/1 when it was available at 25/1 on their website!! And gave up then!! I only asked for £40 e/w in both shops so their liabilities would not have been exactly large!!
My advice is give up and bet online for any bet above about a tenner!!Even day of the race bets are hard to get on!! I asked for £100 e/w on Mous of Men at 9/2 and was offered half at the price and half SP!!
The list is endless and goes on and on!!Impressive though Paco was he should have beat that lot as he liked which he did!!
Come summer and we will see how good he is and whether he can cut it with the big boys or girls!!P.S. He SHOULD have been twos on!!
Oh by the way how do I tell you my address Cormack???

Well done you two!!
I couldn’t have picked the last two winners with three or four picks so console myself with third!!
Well done timeform for sponsoring and Cormack big congrats for organising!!
2.00 Mous of Men Helium
2.30 Twist Magic Oh Crick
3.05 Fairoak Lad Nostringsattached
Good Luck everyone!!

This SNA fanclub thing is getting abit daft really!!
Personally I think there could be many flies in the ointment!! I have seen too many good things get beat early season every season to steam in to a classic favourite!!
I shall be looking for the each way value in the race!!
Maybe something like Awzaan ,Xtension or Hearts of Fire maybe??
SNA is too skinny for me!!There are gonna be far better 6/4 shots this season!!Has any or all of you considered the actual financial and numerical outcomes of RULE 4’s?
For example
4 runner race
Ev
2/1
4/1
9/1 which is betting to 113% generous I know but for this example it will do
Even money shot non runner Rule 4 50pNew prices after rule 4
1/2
6/4
4/1 which becomes a percentage of 126%All this shows is the Rule 4 can and does work both ways and don’t forget you have had to refund all stakes on the original fav which in real life is the largest part of your takings on the race!!
Like anything else in this life it depends which way you look at it!!

I am truly amazed at this thread!!
Surely to God its a case of "pay your money and make your choice"!!!!
There have been numerous dodgy starters over the years and anyone with any small amount of knowledge knew the facts before placing a bet. Twist magic is just another along these lines!! In the past horses like Vodkatini have done the same thing and refused to race and then gone and won at 16/1 or something like afterwards and IT IS a case of taking on board all the facts and deciding whether it is worth a bet!!
And to be honest I am sick of people whingeing about the fact that they have lost money becasue of this that or the other when in fact you have lost money because you backed the wrong horse(i.e. not the winner). I myself do this with amazing regularity and I hate whingers!!
So get over it unless you think bookies ought to pay out on bad luck or that this rule 4 idea is good. I personally can’t see this being fair to every other person that bet something else in the race and having a reduced SP because one horse refused to start!!April 21, 2010 at 23:54 in reply to: Timeform Racehorses of 2009 Comp- Day 2 Entries and RESULTS #2916155.30 Mourad Noble Prince

One of em placed will do!!!
I have looked at that Moe and Bowen has quite a good record at Ayr too!!
WELL DONE HARRY!!!
How do top weights fare in this race ?
I quite fancy Killyglen and Halcon and wondered if anyone had any info regarding top weights in this race!!Also somebody has tipped me Superior Wisdom which I can’t have on my mind but if it goes and wins and I don’t back it I will never hear the end of it!!
