I’ve only really gotten into racing the last 3-4 years so I’ve not really felt an attachment to a particular horse before but……

Over the last few years I have had the chance to see Kauto in the flesh on 3 separate occasions; beaten a nose by Our Vic, falling in a Gold Cup and the King George last year.

I’m starting to think that maybe I am a curse on him, and maybe it would be better for him if I stayed away from Haydock later on today……..but I can’t.

The most important thing to me when watching the race tomorrow is that he (and the others) get round safely, and yes he may very well be too old to win another King George, or another Gold Cup, but it doesn’t stop me hoping and praying that there is just one more win in him……fingers crossed it’s tomorrow

Best day I’ll ever have on a racecourse…..
You couldn’t really tell from the coverage on tv but as soon as he passed the line literally hundreds upon hundreds of people sprinted to the paddock to cheer the Star home.

A fantastic performance from the winner, great stuff from all concerned with the horse…

Leaves a sour taste in the mouth though watching a pathetic presentation of it all by the BBC, a total bunch of amateurs in every respect…

Just as you think it can’t get any worse they finish the piece blaming Carlton House losing a shoe, and saying it has saved the bookies 20 million…a complete and utter joke!

Couldn’t agree with you more Zamorston!!

I can understand wanting to make a big deal of the Queen having a runner before the race to increase interest and thank her for what she’s done for the sport, but after the race why not have some class and simply say Carlton House was beaten by a better horse.

Pour Moi may not have been hampered as much as Carlton House but it came from 4l behind to win it! If Treasure Beach and Pour Moi had lost shoes and been hampered slightly would they be saying that was why Carleton House won? I doubt it.

At least Rishi Persad had the bottle to say it had no excuses and was beaten by the better horse.

Does anyone know for certain that Our Girl Salley is going for the Mares Hurdle? I notice she has an entry for the neptune but wouldn’t want to back if she won’t run in either. Been searching for articles all over but can’t find any concrete info.

Will be very grateful for the help if anyone knows anything???

    Thanks in advance!!

Went to my second Cheltenham Festival this year and I’ve now officially caught the racing bug!

Still trying to improve my knowledge all the time but I wondered what anyone’s opinion is on Pandorama for Cheltenham 2011??

I noticed he beat Weapon’s Amnesty by sh at Leo in Dec and he’s being talked about as a 8/1 shot for the Gold Cup! Do you think with the right ground he’d have a chance of being entered for Gold Cup next year, or is he more likely to go down RSA route?

Thanks in advance for the help!
