I would say 99% sure it’s going through a purple patch.Could be a small profit in it long term.

Hensmen , you could be right he could be younger than I think he is.
Arkle all I know is that a VDW follower has supposedly tracked VDW down and he is still living on the out skirts of Market Harborough in a bungalow . This guy is releasing a book next year because it’s 30 years since the first letter was published in the old Raceform paper.Apparently he has contacted VDW and VDW threatened him with legal action if he didn’t leave him alone. He is accusing VDW or Tony peach of making up details of VDW life for instance that he was never a dutch resistance fighter in the second world war.Don’t know if any of this is true it’s only what I’ve read on the internet. Hensmen or Mtoto might know more about it than me.
I would have thought not, but apparently from what I have been reading on the net , can’t mention where I don’t want to upset anybody , but some one has apparently tracked him down and they do believe him to be the real VDW and claim to have proof and be writing a book about him next year.VDW must at least now be in his 90’s so it’s possible he is still alive.
Not sure he’s gone to the big track in the sky yet? I thought he would have by now, but apparently from what I’ve read he hasn’t. If he has I’m sure he’s still making it pay up their.
I could tell you ,but then I would have to kill you.VDW is like The Knight Templers and the Holy Grail of horse racing.
Winks as good as nod to a blind man.Nice one Barney I think I know why you put this one up.

Jim F according to my figures this works well on the flat espiecally AW if you apply some logical rules to make it more selective. Doesn’t work as well for jumpers though. Don’t know why that is.
Tooting can’t see any thing about Alan Potts on that website.
Mtoto seems like many people have to have a bet everyday whether they can find a good bet or not.Unless they have a bet on the race they can’t take an interest in the race. I’ve never been able to understand this myself.
Doesn’t get very good reviews on Amazon. His book on Algorithms looks more interesting.
I think it was Alan Potts that said when he checked back over his bets for the year it was only a matter of 5 bets that had made the difference between winning and losing. Which added up to only a few lengths. he said that the rest of the year he was just treading water. I’ve also heard others say this and that theres no way of knowing which few bets will make the difference at the end of the year so they have to back them all.
I personally like to be selective, but that might not be the best way for everybody. To me confidence is everything to me and that means backing alot of winners. Why pay for some one to drive you when you could learn to drive yourself and have much more fun if you catch my drift.
You have to remember that there are many false favorites every day so studying favorites isn’t going to prove anything. Many factors go in to what makes a horse favorite including people sticking pins in the paper, women liking the name of the horse and horses being hyped in newspapers etc .Just because a horse is favorite doesn’t mean its the horse most likely to win. You have to find out if its a legitimate favorite or a false favorite. As for the better class horses being more reliable all I can say is my experience and betting records show this to be true.
Yes you must keep a record of your bets then when you know what your strike rate is and average price winner you can then decide which staking plan is best for you.
Saw a program some years ago about this guy that was using a computer to make money on the roulette wheel. Can’t remember how he was doing it , but I think it had some thing to do with where the guy was spinning the ball from.Nothing is completely random unless you want to get into Quantum Theory and if you understand that you don’t because no one does.If we know evey thing before the race we could no the true odds of each horse. Many say that a horse was unlucky when falling when really this game is all about jumping and a pass check on the horses record will often show it was a dodgy jumper and the horse falling was’nt such a shock.
Well done agian Formath this is becoming a habit. I
f you keep this up people might actually start thinking theres something to this so called old VDW rubbish.
Well done again Formath. At what point will you think you’ve cracked it?
