With my logic; Anniepower is proven over the WH distance, finishing 2nd to More of That. Must be her best performance or at least one of the two?
Nichols Canyon’s, only 6 years of age, form is improving over the 2 mile trip, his latest conqueror and former favourite, is out of the race. He goes for the ChampH?
Same trainer, different owners, now they can both win and I hope Anniepower goes one better in the World Hurdle for my pennies of fun.

Well done again raymo, regarding Gansay and Errol Brown. I do remember Do Be Brief from my stint at the Queen of Aintrees yard.
CharlesO, would that be Bull Lea’s sire Bull Dog by Teddy?

Thank you very much Seasider, for the teaser story.
    Love these q’s and a’s.
Didn’t know Stoutes police heritage or Gordon Sumner aka Sting.
Happy Valentines day, all around :rose:

Thank you, steeple, I’m short for the nex question (my head is full of other racing related stuff, for the moment).
So grab the moment someone and ask the next Q!

By the way Seasider, I for one would love a little story of the teaser supposedly sire of a derby winner. I do recall something about it, but can not put my finger to it…

steeplechasing, would that be Le Paillon, who was a runner up to National Spirit in the 1955 Champ Hurdle?
Le Paillons dam Blue Bear was a very good hurdler in France, where she won Grande Course de Haies (French Champion Hurdle), among her offspring besides the 7 time hurdle winner and Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe hero Le Paillon (Fastnet), there was two French Group 3 winning fillies,.

Well done Seasider, and your tale of the prizemoney back in the early days, shows us todays prizemoney is ridiculous. I mean, it was not the Derby or the World Cup…Your ? is up

Hope none of you wasted money on Icecapada, I did, only to see the slowest run race of the night and my fondness of wee Buick take a short break.
Frosted won impressingly, but these where nowhere near C Crome types and I’m pleased I’ve got California Crome to win at 7-1

nwalton, whipping a horse is not allowed in Norwegian racing, they use a version of a two-year-old stick, only allowing correcting taps on the shoulder of the horse, whith both hands on the reins…so new riders can forget and Rafael Schistl did.

    Hey Guys,
I do not know how well prepared this horse will be, but Icecapada in the 5th race Cape Verdi(Gr.2) will be supported by my money.
This is a very kapable filly, one of her races, listed as a conditions race (09/06/2015 Tab) is the Swedish 1000 Guineas (Dianalöpning), where she among others beat Danish 1000 Guineas (Mowerinalob) and future Danish Derby winner Manacor as well as future Danish Oaks winner Mai Pen Rai, her next race, the Norwegian 1000 Guineas she finished all too late to catch the winner. The she won the Scandic Norwegian Derby Trial, beating Norwegian 2000 Guineas winner Brownie as well as Quarterback. Her next race was the Norwegian Derby(L) finishing 2nd to Quarterback and had two lengths in spare to Swedish Derby(L) winner Bokan. Quarterback was a length and a half from winning the january 21 Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum City – District One at Meydan…
Icecapada then twice beat older Champion race-mares over the mile.
Here she is, winning the Stockholms Fillies & Mares Stakes(L) (the grey from gate 2) https://youtu.be/EOM-cUpukRM

    Best Wishes
