4.00 Nottingham – I’m giving PAMONA one last chance at this level at 14’s and 11-1 on CALIFORNIA with Betway has tempted me too so 1pt win on both.
Cymric is a horse I had concerns about this year because he took in the Breeders Cup last year. He took a big hike in the ratings for running Ultra close in France before finishing 8th to Hit It A Bomb in the Juvenile Turf. The winners of that race have been awful the following season for the past several years and, indeed, we have not seen Aidan O’Brien’s winner since, despite him holding several Guineas entries.
This was written by stevecaution, sorry I’m not sure how to quote things!
Steve, I’ve only just read this and it is something I’d not really thought too much about. I backed Cymric the other day and I have backed Waterloo Bridge today who also ran in the Breeders Cup. I generally tend not to pay too much attention to American form over here and forgive 2 or 3 runs after but do you feel that generally there should be question marks for the whole following season for all horses who have been over there? I’d be interested to hear your thoughts (or anyones!) if you could help? Cheers

No show from Adaay
I’m more forgiving than most – that might be where I’m going wrong!!
4.15 Naas – 1 pt win Waterloo Bridge @ 12-1 bogNo winners and 21 pts down so far, but just an annoyance and not a problem as I am well set up to cope with very long losing runs. Having said that, I have decided to alter my staking system in future which will be a fairer reflection of all my bets.
But on with this –3.10 Haydock – the way I see it there’s not an awful lot between 5 or 6 of these on form, but going on winning form, distance, overall profile, drop in class to realistic target, trainer in form, had pipe opener, going etc etc I’ve been tempted in by Adaay at 15-2 1 pt win – had to open Racebets account as just missed it with 2 others!
I’m prepared to give Cymric another chance back at a mile in the 8.15 Sandown at 8-1 bog – 1 pt win.
Rushed for time as usual
1 pt win double tomorrow
Newb- King of Rooks
Newm- Elronaq
Both 10-1 betfair sportsbookYeah Raymo, was worried about the winner – in fact I had Usherette in a small double at a big price with another horse but the other one had already let me down in that bet, so no returns at all!
I need some of your cream cakes over here!!
Sunday 2.25 1pt win Arabian Queen @ 14-1
and even though he is 11 now, I can’t resist an ew go on Kingsgate Native at 25-1 first 4, he’s been so consistent in this over the years.
so it’s a 0.25 pt ew double with Arabian Queen
EW Yankee tomorrow equivalent to 2 pts total bet.
Waady – 8-1
Big Orange – 12-1
Marcel – 12-1
Pamona – 10-1 (Goodwood)
(PP)
Good luck all
Let’s try these….
4.00 Leicester – Coulsty @ 14-1 (1 pt win)
0.5 pt win double – Coulsty (14s) with 2.25 Sandown Saphir Du Rheu (12s)
You on a roll now Raymo!!

Yes I did Raymo, it looked like something had kicked off before they went in the stalls too judging by Fran Berry’s breeches!
I could change this to a lay thread…..
2.40 Chelmsford – Nassuvian Pearl @ 14-1 PP 1 pt win
(combination of the fact that this is just a trial, all 1st time out bar Marenko and the record of Beckett in this race)
6.20 Bath
Bit slow off the mark unfortunately, missed 16’s and 12’s on these but still ok imo at 12’s and 10’sMarsh Hawk 9-1 (10’s gone too now) 0.5 pt win
Shadow Hunter 12-1 0.5 pt win
3.40 Aintree 1 pt win Prince of Scars @ 20-1 BV

0.25 pt ew double
3.50 Nottingham – Eye of the Storm @ 10-1
2.15 Aintree – Sceau Royal @ 20-1Betfair Sportsbook (finally joined!)
Low stakes because I don’t really like EotS’s last 2 runs, but may be worth a go first time up, won 2 out of 2 on Heavy (though some time ago.)
With Kings record in the Aintree race, perfectly happy to take 20’s for one of his.- AuthorPosts
