Yes, this was a brilliant final, and probably a great experience for you, Nathan.
The latter should be Didi Hamann, the other one I can’t bring to mind admittedly.

Thank you for your argumentation for Blue Point, Steve, at least it reads quite plausible to me.
I will definetely follow his first races and re-evaluate him then.
8ball? I also enjoy playing pool..

Thank you all for the great input, then I better take it back that you ignored her, I was just too impatient.
Oh no Nathan, the German Mark days are over since 2001, only some Germans dream about a comeback, but this won’t happen as long as Angie is on top.
I didn’t know that many of you already had joy and success with Mrs Danvers, as I don’t follow this forum long enough, and I am pleased to read this!
Thank you Ginger, this was new for me with smaller 2 yo horses having a peak at two, this might really be a concern.
All of you are probably right that this race is a giant step up in class for her, and your bottom line, Steve to wait and see her first races this year will likely be right, I also want to see her act at 6f before I get active.

I am really astonished why you are so deeply convinced of Blue Point, Steve. My thinking is if he would be such a classy sprinter, he should have never gotten his butt kicked by the Last Lion, but maybe this is unfair to him, because everyone is granted a bad day and even racehorses are only human..

Thank you, Nathan for your response!
It’s a pity that the others here seem to ignore her,
but as I said earlier, this might be a mistake..

About Blue Point I kind of agree with March,
I find this horse far from being a convincing sprinter.

Could anybody give a word on Mrs Danvers?
I know she’s a low budget horse, but she couldn’t do more than winning all here races so far.
She even won the Cornwallis Stakes in a faster time than Quiet Reflection one year before as I read..
I would be grateful for your opininions.

I’m very glad that it wasn’t Ballydoyle’s day, and I kind of hope it will be a hint for the season  .
Please keep on not being such a monster, Aiden ;-) !

I will stick with Jack Hobbs.

I must admit I stepped on your train, Steve.
Thank you so much, your analysis is real master class :good:

This was not Limato’s cup of tee.
I think Candy should select his races more carefully.

Did he stumble or change legs…? I didn’t think he wanted to go past or am I being harsh on the horse

I am not sure about that Nathan, but I wouldn’t say so.
This Epicharis was a really tough nut, but Christophe made the difference and finally cracked him!

Thunder Snow did it :yahoo: , Merci Christoph :good: !
His odds got bigger and bigger, and I bet him to early, but that’s a minor matter..

    Hi Steve,
I would be definetely interested in French racing and I would appreciate if you keep up your analysis.
I know a little about the French market, because German trainers often do excursions to France due to higher prize money and I would like to learn more..

I reckon Thunder Snow will be tough to beat.

Thank you very much, Steve to enlighten my darkness :-). I mean, your analysis strengthened my original feeling about Thunder Snow and I will probably back him as soon as rule4 applies and if the odds remain around 6/4.
Also thanks to you, Botchy for mentioning this race here, otherwise I would have missed it..

Thank you Botchy, I watched this UAE 2000 Guineas online, and TS won it impressively, but the problem is to assess what the opponents were worth. LB is a real darkhorse here formwise and also how he copes with dirt?! So I think I better stay on the sideline and wait for clearer favourites..

Runs next Saturday in the UAE Derby as a prep.

This race seems interesting to me. Sorry for slight off-topic  , but would anyone like to rate the outcome briefly? Has Lancaster Bomber a winning chance, or is Thunder Snow’s favouritism justified?
I would be grateful for your assessments, please fire away ;-).

Coronet also not entered in 1000G

Of course not, she focuses on the oaks ;-)

I like Mrs Danvers here. She is a real underdog and has always been underestimated, which will also be the case in this race, but it might be a mistake.
She is very explosive and has a real sprint pedigree, and I am confident she will play an excellent role in here.

Thank you Steve for your very detailed statement, you are really such a great analyser as they say (when I first posted here you just had taken your break).
I agree with you that Coronet’s greatest quality is her stamina, but for me that doesn’t exclude her beeing speedy.

Another factor for me is that I don’t like Aidan O’Brien at all (I don’t know why some of you seemingly find him sympathatic?!) and I hope Coronet will help to fight his dominance!
