    Highs

Marine Nationale , class act and while making me a nice profit it was more enjoying the way he did it , peaked to perfection and he loved that ground , could easily win next year

The New Lion , this is the horse that will take Skelton to the next level , you could argue he,d have wanted more winners this week butthis horse will take him to the top table

Great performance today and hopefully just the start , rewatching the race Walsh really did give him a cracking ride , if he does go to Aintree he may well go off at a ridiculous price

    Lows

Not having my Dad to watch it with , I normally take the week off but since losing Dad in Jan I knew this would be a difficult week so worked , still saw most of the racing but miss not being able to discuss with dad , I’ve been commenting on here a lot this week and thankfully it’s helped

The loss of Corbetts Cross … One hand it’s given …in another it’s taken away , real shame as I had him a GN horse

It’s the first thing Elliott has done right all week , HDB somehow pulled it out of the fire this week after a poor season ( prob a good time to start following the yard ) Elliott has had a mare , all that ammo and one win , that’s not going to keep big owners happy , they’ll be eyes gazing at Joseph and esp Cromwell after the last 4 days …. Elliott has work to do

You can’t expect to win at the festival unless your 100% , if I was Elliott id be spending the summer convincing Sean Bowen to head to Ireland , I’ve nothing against Kennedy but it’s obvs he’s done , if your seriously planning on beating Mullins then he needs to get the best available … Bowen

Still been a horrible week for Elliott and as for Jack Kennedy … , Elliott may have loads of horses but this week proves he still has a lot to learn from Mullins about placing them

The best horse won with the best ride , Walsh didn’t take any prisoners and he timed his attack to perfection

Cromwell or JP weren’t bothered about those races , it was all about today , JP punts seem to have gone quiet in recent years but I bet he had a nice pick up off that today

He was outstayed by a younger stayer , Cromwell peaked this horse for today and I know I keep mentioning it but they really didn’t try very hard at Punchestown ….

He’s very in and out Ginge and another reason for not liking that KG form , Fact to File if you def knew Mullins would run him would be my bet for boxing day

He looked fresh enough ginge kicking out leaving the paddock , Rummy did similar after races , may well depend on the ground , if it was really soft or heavy there’s more chance of me running in it

It’s why Arkle is still remembered all these years later , wonder where GDC go next , they can prob have another go next year but at 10 it’ll be difficult

Cromwell has had a good season and it may well be this horse is better on a sounder surface … God knows what price he’ll go off in the GN now
