EVW is a very good horse. He came a close 2nd in the hottest of hot Eclipses. But apart from that run and his sussex win admittedly his overall profile is FAR from convincing and the hype has been all a bit much. Let him do his talking on the track. Overall I just think he is a fundamentally ‘soft’ horse and physically un-sound, and this has stopped him from showing his full ability consistently.

If he is as special as they say they should keep him in training and let us see it next year!

This was a truly hideous race! I was VERY anti-MCM but just couldn’t find a horse to bet against him.

I have to say that overall the BC felt a bit average. I watched every race and apart from Goldikova/Zenyatta it all felt a bit mediocre. Bring back the one night meeting!

Comfortably some of the worst horsemanship I’ve ever seen. That ‘loading’ of Quality Road was utterly dire.

It did look a bit half hearted

Ryan Moore having a bad night. I had a BIG bet on Awesome Act and can’t help but think he was the best horse in the race. Also not his finest hour on Beethoven. Let’s hope he gets it right on Conduit.

    I’ve had a terrible night’s betting

Much prefer Gayego of the top in the market, but Fleeting Spirit is the value. She’s simply a class act and will like the trip and the fast surface should suit. If they drop her in from her wide draw that could turn out to be the place to be with all the pace on. I wouldn’t be surprised to see her storm through late and fast. 12/1: value

Although I think that Conduit really should win, the structure of the race may actually mean that the smartest bet(s) are Spanish Moon or DRM E/W @ 4/1+ each. There are 8 ruuners and it’s 1/4 odds e/w and it’s hard to see a few making the frame. I dare say DRM and SM will be circa 1.6 TBP on Betfair but you are getting 2.0 for the place part of your bet by backing e/w. So if you take the view that they are very likely to place then you basically get a ‘free’ shot at a 4/1 winner.

Si in essence I fancy Conduit to win but may end up backing both DRM and SM and not Conduit! That make sense?!

Changed my mind. Conduit will win. Keep it simple

    I wanted to back

    Hillview Boy

but the plunge on that one means the value has now probably gone.

    I am convinced

    Broomielaw

is a Group class horse but he ran poorly last time and is unproven on this ground.

One who can go well at a big price is

    Magicalmysterytour

However the best bet of the day is

    Plaisterer

in the fillies listed race at 2.05. Backed her at 12/1 (Bet365) last night. Has been wildly impressive in a couple of handicaps this season, including over C&D. And last time in a Listed race she wouls surely have won with a clear passage. She got absolutely murdered when about to challenge and looking full of running. The favourite sets a fair standard and won’t be easy to beat but on the grounds of value there is only one bet in this race for me.

Looks like the Europeans are going to be bet down and value hard to come by

I have watched it online on an official site for the past 2 years but cant remember where

    http://www.breederscup.com/content.aspx?id=29093

only 5 forms needed to sign up and no charge, should work on any browser =) a What a result for Aidan O’Brien!!

Nice one. That’s the link I was after. Not a very obvious link from the site’s home page

Do you know, against all the evidence and all known three year old form, I can’t help thinking that Johnny G has set up The Rainbow all season for the Ladies Classic tomorrow night.

I can just see him afterward saying that this was the target all along.

Really? Can’t see how this can possibly be the case given her huge number of runs, many of which have been on supposedly unsuitable surfaces etc.

If any of you Zenyatta fans want to lay me a price for her not to get placed..pm me. Nothing big like.

Why don’t you just lay her TBP on Betfair?

They have suspended the market as usual.

No they haven’t – they have just switched to the final dec raceday market rather than antepost. Select US Racing-Santa Anita 7th Nov rather than ANTEPSOT-US RACING etc.

Presence of PP will ensure Conduit gets the fast pace he wants. Very hard to beat. Would have bet SM if it looked like he could get a soft lead but aint gonna happen now
