Conduit is definitely the one to beat but think I’ll side with red rocks at 20-1. Not a bad price on him IMO.

Agree Conduit will take all the beating but it will be tougher than last year. Spanish Moon won’t be stopping and it’s all down to Ryan Moore’s timing but I think he could be run out of it.

Fast track will suit Spanish Moon and worth a small bet at likely high odds with Betfair but not till he’s in the stalls

Was listening to Graham Cunningham talk about this race and made some decent points.

Precious Passion a very strong front runner and with Conduit likely to have a patented Ryan Moore late burst I’m going to be backing to lay Precious Passion.

    Green me up baby.

I make Conduit my nap of the meeting to repeat last year’s victory.

He should have too much finishing speed for this field.

I happen to think that from a European point of view anyway (since I dont know any of the American horses) that this is an abysmal race. I feel that conduit won this last year after Eagle Mountain failed to get home but in spite of that he is not really a 10 furlong horse and if the pace is a bit pedestrian and this is tactical, his lack of pace could be a problem.

With all of that said, exactly what else in this race would actually be good enough to beat him?? Maybe something local.

Id probably back Red Rocks for place, I thought his come back looked quite promising.

The last thing I want to do is sell Presious Passion short. You get a run for your money at least – no hiding behind excuses.

Small field could end up a tactical battle which would IMO give a distinct advantage to the breakaway leader.

    Presious Passion – 8/1 (NAP)

cant see a slow pace here ,race start on downhill , conduit will win imo
he will be at the top of his game this time , presious passion is a one paced horse he will set up the race for conduit , cant see da re mi reversing the arc placing , she had a long season and has been flatered by the slow pace in the arc where it turned into a 400m sprint
and moore chosing conduit over spanish moon tell us who is the best beetwen them

Presious Passion may be one paced, but he doesn’t slow down. Give him too big a lead and he may not comeback to them. Loves firm turf too.
For betting in-running, if he has a big 15L+ gap opened up after 4f or 6f, lump on him, they ain’t gonna catch him.

presious passion ran the arlington million and got stuffed by the likes of stosfold , we are not sure he ll stay the trip , just a nice pacemaker for the europeans imo

The Million was run on a soft course. PP

    hates

anything to the left of good to firm. That race was a throw out. Completely different horse on firm, and SA turf is notoriously hard.
If they keep him within striking distance, then all bets are off. But let him open up a huge lead and it’s a different story. He amazingly doesn’t slow down. It’s a very unusual running style.

Presence of PP will ensure Conduit gets the fast pace he wants. Very hard to beat. Would have bet SM if it looked like he could get a soft lead but aint gonna happen now

the only negative for conduit is the short straight , that could cost him the victory
