Quite liked Coordinated Cut’s win today in the Tattersalls Timeform 3-y-o Trophy. There aren’t many horses who get hampered, have to switch and still win with just over a furlong to run. He has a splendid, long stride. Definitely a Derby horse and can see this one thundering down the home straight at Epsom.
I’m still stinging from the 1986 Epsom Derby

Liked the look of Aldovrandi at Kempton yesterday. You don’t get many newcomers popping up in fields like that and winning so convincingly. Certainly keeping my eyes on this one.
I’m fairly sure that Mon Mome can repeat last year’s success. However, my wonga will be going on Tricky Trickster instead

The One and only Son of Lyphard out of Navajo Princess by Drone!

100% agree … the wonder horse in my avatar!
Within close proximity and about to hit top gear, I do wonder how other greats such as Sea Bird, Mill Reef, Brigadier Gerard, etc, would’ve coped with his tremendous turn of speed.
I got 5 out of 6 today at Wolverhampton. Second Brook was the lead-footed mule that let me down in the last race.
Bugger!

I seemed to have a knack of getting 4 or 5 selections placed. The horses I most expected to get placed were often the ones that let me down.
I only do placepots once in a while now … but they’re so damn tempting! Not sure if he’s entered in any classics but one 3yo I’m quietly looking forward to is Bullet Train (trained by Henry Cecil). His win wasn’t that spectacular in his only run (won by a shorthead) but I did like the manner at how he got down to win. He looks to me like a horse that could be good at 10 or even 12 furlongs. Interesting.

What annoys me is how suddenly people can go from one extreme to the other just over a lack lustre performance. Prior to the Gold Cup, huge numbers of racing fans were convinced that Kauto would win, that defeat seemed out of the question and what a superstar he was. Now that he failed to finish, he’s being slagged off as though he’s like public enemy number one.
Kauto Star will return and lay waste to the opposition again because that’s what true champions do!
As some have already mentioned, Kauto Star was going like the winner until his first blunder.
I think there’s every chance that KS can bounce back and win the 2011 Gold Cup.Congratulations to Fist for predicting, persevering and believing that Binocular would win the Champion

Rounding the home turn and seeing AP sitting motionless on Binocular … the writing was on the wall! Very impressive indeed!
Get Me Out Of Here is my choice but only because I think the going will favour him more than Dunguib.
In a way, Dunguib reminds me of that irish 2 y o (3 now) Arctic who was impressive on heavy ground but wasn’t so good on better going.
Still a cracking race though

When a replay of a great race is shown … but they decide to show it ‘head on’ instead! Annoys me bigtime.
That irritating fashion guru who always pops up at Royal Ascot. He’s such a pompous arse!
Another little thing that annoys me is that Paddy Power advert … the "this is what it’s like to lose a £50 bet" one where that dorky looking bloke keeps grinning at the camera!
Arrrghhhhh!
Canford Cliffs!
