    Hi fellas,

Your selections have restored my faith somewhat in my own choices. I belong to a couple of other forums on Rugby League (my main area of betting expertise, if you can call it that) and am trying to improve my punting knowledge on the horses and golf.

I voiced my selections on a couple of golfing threads on the RL forums but nobody had picked any of the same selections as me until now.

Everyone seems to be on Rose, Furyk, Mickelson (who doesn’t appeal this time) and Casey.

I’ve only bet to small stakes but i’ve been on these since last week:-

ew on Cink @ 80/1 (price is falling)

ew on Couples @ 175/1 (who I see has since tumbled down a bit in the odds).

    ew on Weir @ 80/1

    ew on Jiminez @ 250/1

Cink was my biggest bet though, I have had a gut feeling about him for weeks and would have regretted it if I hadn’t backed it up with a few quid.

Might have a couple more tonight.

Everyone has been saying to me ‘Cink?, nah no chance’, but at least i’m not alone now.

Roll on tomorrow (gonna have a sneaky look at Clark now)

Good luck to you all! :D

Highest out of my 3 lists was 533 points according to our forum league.

Not sure what position that would have been overall as I can’t remember my individual password.

Somone on the forum got top 53 overall . 8)

    Hi Lenny,

I was fortunate enough to come joint 1st in 2004 (would have won outright but for a meandering run by Rhinestone Cowboy to beat Rooster Booster at Aintree)

It was my first time to entry, just doing two lines and I am ordinarily your stereotypical novice mug punter. I don’t have a tenth or even a hundredth of the knowledge of the people who post on here and don’t post that much myself as often my racing knowledge isn’t good enough to keep up with the discussion (although I do read a lot of them). Yet somehow I managed to win. So it is possible. Don’t be too dismissive.

I do think it is becoming harder to do well like you say, and naturally if you do hundered of entries you are more likely to win, but that goes without saying.

I have failed to come in the first ten million places in every year since  but take it as a bit of fun, if I don’t want to enter I don’t have to, and like Shadow Leader says, I’ll be all excited for 48hrs or so until Saturday afternoon when I accept that i’ve done my cash for another year.

I can’t get it to accept that reference number, but it’s probably me just being thick!
