Morning Campers, well after the last two weeks when we have had 8 or 9 Tournaments to attempt to solve this week it is for me a more manageable 3 :D thank goodness.

I will begin with the supporting cast and firstly the Colombian Masters, very much a shot in the dark here but i will go in with these Three, David Horsey, Christopher Hanell and James Hepworth in the hope that they do not get stuck in the BOG (OTA) too much  , no Spicy Currys please :) .

Moving on to the Ladies offering this week and the Corona Championship, firstly i was amazed to see the price of Lorena i was expecting 1/3 or worse, show’s what i know  , Harry Findlay i’m sure will be tempted by that  but you have guessed it not me.

Flying the Flag here will be Sophie Gustafson and Louise Stahle in the hope that the fizz will not go flat too quickly  , i also think it is worth doing them with Lorena although there is a market without her.

So finally to this weeks MAIN EVENT it is of course the US MASTERS at good old Augusta National.

Having been in touch with there respective Tailors  and after much deliberation i have decided on these 5 for this.

Vijay Singh will be my main source of interest here, i could not pass up Jim Furyk at current odds althoughi am not quite sure what to expect.

A Former Winner for yours truly comes in next, the person in question Mike Weir.

Next a chance is given to Justin Rose to hopefully put behind him his Faux Pas from last year and to hopefully build on his Order Of Merit success from last year.

Finally having kept you in suspense my final vote goes to Tim Clark who has done well here in the past, all selections are with Tiger as i think it is worth taking the chance.

It is with great reluctance that Messrs Harrington, Stenson and Hunter to name a few are passed over this week.

The last named of those however does figure in something i don’t do very often, that is 3 Ball Betting but i could not pass up the Evens available to see off Peter Lonard and Larry Mize, anothe 3 ball that caught my attention was J B Holmes 10/11 to see off John Rollins and Sandy Lyle, so here’s hoping that i have a return Tonight :) from those two.

So PETE, MIKE and CRIZZY, here’s hoping that you can Master things better than me  and as always whatever your picks BE LUCKY.

Well that will do it for me for the mo.

    Cheers.

    Adrian.

Good luck Adrian and I am a bit surprised that you have not backed Harrington for The Masters which is my fav golf tournament :) Tiger has been in great form recently but his price is much too short for my liking and he has won this event only once in the last 5 years which is not so hot by his standards. It is no secret that Phil Mickelson only really cares about the big tournaments but his putting recently has not been as strong as normal. One good thing about Tiger and big Phil being dominant in the betting is that there are excellent win and place odds to be found elsewhere :)

My optimistic hope is Justin Leonard who won the British Open in 1997. He is not a long hitter but Zach Johnson proved last year that this is not essential to win the Masters. During the last year, Justin has improved his game and has become an accurate striker of the ball and a good putter. He also has a reasonable record in the Masters having finished in the top twenty on 4 occasions. He has only missed the cut once since 1995…….but this will soon become twice now I’ve bet on him at 310’s on BF.
Another player who is accurate but not a long hitter is Tim Clark who finished Masters runner up in 2006. He is reportedly over his health and injury probs and I’ve ignored his poor show last time and bet on him at 130’s.
I bet on Geoff Ogilvy to win the Masters at 83/1 at the same time that I bet on him to win at the Doral. He knows how to win Majors as he won the US Open in 2006 and is in very good form. Needs to make sure he hits more fairways though.
Another australian I’ve backed is Aaron Baddeley who is a long hitter and an excellent putter and has improved his iron play. He showed that he can play on difficult courses when he lead the US Open last year before his inexperience became too much in the final round. He needs to improve his accuracy off the tee though which is my main worry about betting on him.
Finally I’ve gone for Steve Stricker who I always think of as Mr Consistency 8) He has finished in the top ten in 40% of the events he has played in since Jan 2006. He has a decent recent record in the Majors even though he has not performed so well in the Masters but hopefully that will change this year.

The one other event I am betting on is the Corona Championship on the lpga circuit which Lorena should win but I’ll go for some place money and have bet e/way on the S/Koreans Hee Young Park and Inbee Park …….hope I do not get fined for double parking

    Happy punting :)

    Pete .

    Hi guys,

I intend having my first golf bet of the year this week, as the Masters used to be a massive betting event for me due to the easily fathomable course form. I’ve picked out Stewart Cink at 66/1, he’s been playing well from what I’ve seen so far this year and is a great putter. A quick glance at his Masters previous suggests he handles Augusta quite well (one top 10, a handful of top 25s). Can anybody shed any more light on his chances?

Hi Friggo, firstly good to hear from you, i think you will get a good run with Stewart Cink, the Accenture Final aside when on the day i don’t think anyone would have beaten the Master he has had a very good start to the Year and he did figure among my selections but alas did not quite make it a relief to those like yourself who are going to back him :).

I would give him as good an E/W chance as others and here’s hoping that the flat stick does the bizz for him.

Along with Pete i’m sure, i feel that we should install the Name of the National winner into our Selections in the hope that it inspires them  in the hope that they COMPLY with us :) .

    Catch you later.

    Cheers.

    Adrian.

    Right, Here goes…
I think Woods will win but will have a go on these.. Betting without Woods like a big scaredy cat :?
    On Betfair…
    1) Singh (Reliable form) 13.5-1
    2) KJ Choi (Seems to like bid tourns though Masters not a fav!) 25-1
    3) Cink (Reasonable course form) 47-1
    4) Kelly (Couldn’t resist) 169-1

    5) Goosen (Great Masters Form and cos I had a few quid left in my Coral account!)) EW 22/1

Let’s roll. JUST LOVE THIS MASTER’S GIG… GOOD LUCK

    Hi fellas,

Your selections have restored my faith somewhat in my own choices. I belong to a couple of other forums on Rugby League (my main area of betting expertise, if you can call it that) and am trying to improve my punting knowledge on the horses and golf.

I voiced my selections on a couple of golfing threads on the RL forums but nobody had picked any of the same selections as me until now.

Everyone seems to be on Rose, Furyk, Mickelson (who doesn’t appeal this time) and Casey.

I’ve only bet to small stakes but i’ve been on these since last week:-

ew on Cink @ 80/1 (price is falling)

ew on Couples @ 175/1 (who I see has since tumbled down a bit in the odds).

    ew on Weir @ 80/1

    ew on Jiminez @ 250/1

Cink was my biggest bet though, I have had a gut feeling about him for weeks and would have regretted it if I hadn’t backed it up with a few quid.

Might have a couple more tonight.

Everyone has been saying to me ‘Cink?, nah no chance’, but at least i’m not alone now.

Roll on tomorrow (gonna have a sneaky look at Clark now)

Good luck to you all! :D

Have also backed Tim Clark in the hope he can maintain his form for four rounds on a course on which he appears to excel.

I’ve had a useful bet, each-way, on The Goose at 25/1 with Hills, and a smaller interest in Furyk @ 50/1.

I also took the 12/1 about The Goose to fair best of the ROWs.

Morning all, firstly well done to those who had a return from the Masters, what an interesting final day there can’t be many final days where +3 is good enough to win by 3 all adds to the excitement doesn’t it.

    Here’s to this week.

    Cheers.

    Adrian.
