Plenty of sarcasm evident on this thread, but the fact is that each way multiples on the type of race he is betting on are a licence to print money. That’s why you can’t get a decent stake on anywhere unless you are prepared to clock up the miles. Even that’s getting harder by the day though. Good luck to you though I’d be interested to know how on earth you can get anything like a grand on with this type of bet.
A mate and I spotted a Ladbrokes error on the Olympic Boxing in 2008 – several boxers had a bye in the first round and the draw was already mapped out. We put together a 4x4x4x4 perm which GUARANTEED a profit as they were betting 1/4 the odds a place 1-2-3-4. Sadly they changed the place terms 10 minutes after I got my first bet on – was planning on visiting 6 other shops that morning. Trebled our money, could have been many many times more dependent on results ( most were priced between 25/1 and 100/1.) Happy days.
Thanks for that, very interestring.
It transpires that Firstbet are a sister company to Sunderlands which might be very significant if IBAS rule against me.
I still desperately need any copies of Firstbet’s rules which anyone may have in their possession – any leads would be much appreciated. Surely someone will be able to help?
Equitrack – Many thanks for the reply.
I have to be careful what I post as my dispute is currently in the hands of IBAS, but I am in dispute with Firstbet over a life changing sum.
I am trying to get hold of any copy / edition of this Company’s rules since they started trading about 5 years ago.
If anyone has, or knows someone who has, an account with Firstbet, I would be very grateful to know whether they were given a set of rules.
All I can say is that this case may well make the papers in a few weeks time.
He is one of those horses who make you realise why you love the sport. I can honestly say I was willing him to win yesterday more than horses I have a significant bet on ( well, most!) without a penny riding on the race. Reminds me in many ways of Giants Causeway for his toughness.
It is not common knowledge but she has broken blood vessels after two of her last three gallops (not the last one). The plan is to go for the Breeders cup rather than the Arc where she can run on Lasix.
April 24, 2005 at 20:04 in reply to: Equestrian Events / Hunting in Norfolk + surrounding areas #90380Hi Zoz, you might find http://www.horsedates.co.uk useful. We list our shows on there (Fox & Hounds Riding Club) and there are always plenty of events listed there.
Thanks for the excellent replies, Mel. Also many thanks to Daylight and everyone else who helped. I look forward to the next guest appearance!
