If he is not physically in Newmarket can it truly be said he is the trainer?

I am surprised that people who have RUK, who thought that CH4 coverage is was so bad, even bothered watching CH4.

raymo61 I thought I was reading my own words there. (although I don’t shout at the jockeys)

I have been to every Derby since 1983.

I am fed up each year with Coolmore leaving it to such a late stage to dceide which horses they are going to run in the Derby.

How refreshing to read this quote from Anthony Oppenheimer regarding the participation of Golden Horn. Made way back on 16th May. “It is not terribly sensible to leave it too long because everyone needs to know if they are betting. I just felt it was only reasonable to say. The sooner the better.”

A good article by Richard Hughes on the Racing Post site. Some quotes below (if not allowed because of copyright please delete)

All too often the sport is guilty of annoying and alienating these people in an effort to bring in a different, younger crowd. In my opinion that is a massive mistake.

Tons of money and time seem to go into attracting new people to racecourses, the vast majority of whom have no interest in the sport and never will have. That would be fine if it were not for the fact that by trying to please the new racegoers those responsible upset the existing ones, a prime example being the moving of quality fixtures from midweek slots to Saturdays.

To get the next generation of racegoers we all hear about, racecourses think they should put all their goodies in a Saturday basket. From what I’ve seen, what that often leads to is racecourses simply being full of stag and hen parties.

I can’t help but think racing is one of those sports you either like or you don’t like – and it has survived for centuries on that basis.

There is a long way to go, if indeed you do get the tickets Nathan, but maybe they could go to the top 4 at a given point. Or have them yourself for putting it together.

    Good luck to everybody.

I’m in. I think there is at least 15 of us, should be 4 tickets on there way to you Nathan.

I cannot see anywhere that says it is just the Elite league, guess it must be though.

I find it harder to determine when a thread last had a new post.

It was much easier when you looked at a particular thread and it said last post 9:05am so you know if you last looked at 10am there have been no new posts. Whereas now it says 5 hours 41 mins, it just takes a bit more thinking about.
