Because he wants to ride it in the Arkle.
It’s a trappy race this year, bit still looks the winner to me.

Knowing the way the BBC works, I think AP will get the Lifetime Achievement Award in the next year or so as a consolation prize.

If Benbade Head was trained by a top stable, people would be making this out to a great prospect.
he would never have started at 16-1.

If BH trots up in such style, having finished tenth in CHampion Bumper, then Dunguib is something special.

I thought BH was a good thing at Chelt and he duly obliged. The trainer was very optimistic in his local paper column. Remember Keighley learned his trade at the Nicholson yard, so he’s not a duffer.

In answer to a question about what made an average hurdler becoming a top class NChaser, he cited GG as a classic example of a horse that CAN JUMP. He was very animated when talking about GG cf wth other comments.

The smile on Paul Nicholls’s face and the excitement in his voice when he talked about Gullible Gordon in Cheltenham last Friday left me in now doubt about what he thought.

He also had a good world for eighteentothirty.

Saw Ruby at Cheltenham Literature Festival on Friday night. He was asked is racing dodgy? No, he replied. If I knew which horses would win, he said, I wouldn’t be riding a horse at 30mph over a fence!

To suggest he doesn’t try is just tosh.

Chatted to Paul Nicholls at Cheltenham Open Day today. He plans first entries at Chepstow on Sat, but was clear if ground is not right he will wait.

Good to chat to such an approachable chap. He was happy to talk to everyone there. He’s a credit to the sport.

It was a good event. Great to get the chance to see the signed pegs in the weighing room.

As they say about the new season, bring it on!

Getting used to the site. Had to get a new password sent, but, alas, when I tried to change my password it wouldn’t work.

    £20 they’re having a laugh. I won’t be subscribing at that price.

I won’t be paying. Was happy to pay 20p for spotlights and other stuff on a pay as you go basis. But they can stuff the £7.50.

I am sure I will be using ATR more often.

More rain in Cheltenham since mid afternoon. Not heavy though,
Anyone backing a good ground horse on Tuesday will be wasting their dosh.

Sensible decision by Ruby. This will help the price for What a Friend.

But still have a feeling that it’s the year of a big price winner. Can’t spot it yet. I have heard words about casey jones among others.

Richard, I thought that was the case.

Thanks for the info re Cheltenham. I have to say I thought it was always done on a rota.

Good to read you’ll be doing the honours at Festival.
