TIMES UP trained by John Dunlop
for winning or placing in ‘The Getting out Stakes’ at Newmarket in the past for me and for progressing from Handicap to Group class this year…a big thank you to him.
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...September 27, 2012 at 12:58 #414317I’ve never won a penny from him but Hunt Ball must be near the top of most lists.

September 27, 2012 at 14:27 #414321any horse that has won me money

on a serious note, new approach for getting off to such a good start as a stallion with 3 winners at royal ascot
September 27, 2012 at 21:17 #414353Obviously my horse of the year would’ve been Frankel

Bar the SHC superstar, my horse of the year would have to be the ill-fated Brindisi Breeze! To advance from a £2,599 Maiden Hurdle win to a very gutsy victory (over red-hot favourite Boston Bob) in the Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle at Cheltenham three months later was nothing short of brilliant…

agree about brindisi breeze rob his win at cheltenham was breathtaking i love when a horse can front run and just say catch me if you can they just couldnt live with him makes me sad to think what could have been for brindisi and campbell
another fave of mine this year was stone of folca i backed him at 50/1 when he won the dash at epsom on derby day only backed him because he one of those horses i follow over a cliff i remember saying i wasnt going to back him only to read dave nevison tipping him up in the sun on the day of the race and changed my mind and backed himOctober 1, 2012 at 18:34 #414849If we’re talking on the level here, Time’s Up is my nomination. He has had such a heavy schedule in his racing career, but keeps improving and reached the top of the staying division this year. He must be a joy to own and train.
October 1, 2012 at 19:21 #414855Stuff the flat,,,,.Sprinter Sacre to win the QMCC and I’ll be happy.
If Orverve or Sea Moon win the Arc I’ll be happy.
tbh Apart from Frankel and Black Caviar nothing on 4 legs has even come close to catching my eye.
The 3 year olds are so bad most of them will be running round Sedgefield over the next couple of seasons.
When I look through the big races section for the flat I barely remember having a bet. I have backed some winners but don’t ask me their names as I haven’t got a clue. Not one of them was good enough to get me going, least of all that Camelot who is as boring as watching paint dry.
Over the jumps I had loads of winning bets in Graded racesComparing this season to past seasons on the flat I can’t remember it being as bad as this.
You only need look at the low amount of posts when some posts up big races like the Silver cup to realise the interest is extremely low.
As far as 2year olds go I haven’t even looked to be honest. I’ll leave that until the end of the season and try and find something worth following.
Frankel has been fantastic to watch he is the horse of the decade if not the century
However the quicker we get to the likes of the Greatwood, The Hennessy and the Fighting Fifth the better as far as I’m concerned.
