The lay out at Great Leighs is terrible. Buildings stuck in the middle & you only get the odd glimps of the ponies running here & there etc…..
Still im aware its only temporary….
Anyhow the noise got a little louder after Sgt Schultz won…didn’t have a decent bet on it but im not complaining either…..One of the lads i was with also backed another 12/1 shot else where & the craic was good….
Southwest Star is the next venture on Wednesday at Lingfield, same jockey booked….

Usually when im going through form etc, selections can throw themselves out at me…but i must confess ive had to dig deep to find the majority of these today….i’d be tempted to half my stakes today, but im going to go with all cylinders firing…lol…its the only way forward…..lol….Attack…its like texas hold’em = come over the top after a big re-raise….lol

Earlier today i had an replacement bet which i never had to call apon called = "Nothing is Forever" & it slipped up when jumping the second last in the lead….it was a relief to see the jockey fall off as i was starting to think why i didn’t put a few quid on it…..lol

Yesterday was a disaster…pity Blue shark was nearly brought down by a faller in front of it…only for that , it would have been a very good result..
Anyhow i start the new year off with a huge 10pt loss…now that’s very stressful….lol

Im sure some of ye must be thinking anyone can pick up to 3-4 horses in a race & hope to get lucky…ok then, you try it….lol….not that easy is it?
The bookies run a book & im trying to have a few running for me too that obviously i think all have a decent chance…There’s nothing as bad as trying to narrow it down to 1-2 & one of the others winning that i was considering….In most cases the odd’s are good enough that if the lower priced horse was to win i’ll still make a point or two profit or hopefully break even & move on to the next race etc

I was at Lingfield the other day & i was approached by a young lady who noticed i wasn’t wearing a wedding ring….lol….anyway we got on quite well & she has a horse running today that will be ran well down the field…she has invited me to be her guest today….& there i was minding my own business…lucky me….lol

Well what can i say?….lol
I looked certain to lose 26 or 27points today & up pops a winner Lapinot matched at 22.win & 6 for the place…& i actually only lose 1point on the whole day…thank God for the exchange prices..
Apart from two other close shaves =Lend a Grand & Kaystar Ridge, the rest were pure rubbish…but had either of them two won it would have been such a different story…..I put up my hands i was wondering what the hell was going on at some stage , not even in the frame?????…but ive certainly learnt today & bad day is always around the corner…..Still that was a total disaster of a day from runners to results ratio…yet one winner & two places pulls it all back ….i feel i was very lucky today….Phew…..lol…
Im sure if anyone was following me today, that they must have given up after a few races…..l wouldn’t have blamed you…..lol…..

At the time of my post yesterday Xpres Maite could be got at 16/1…. & Head to Head at 25/1….Someone else knew!
But if you get the chance to watch the replay from Southwell this morning on ATR, you tell me if No5 Head to Head…Black silks with a red band could have done alot better …AND that posibilly the jockey was doing his best NOT to even get placed….
