You Gov poll

I am a member of You Gov and participate in their polls most days.

Today they have a poll on horseracing, the percentages may change as more people do the poll but when I just completed it 75% of people would strongly support a complete ban on horseracing.

I know the majority of those responding will be ill-informed and probably dislike or have no interest in horse racing but I do get concerned on who has issued the poll and with what agenda. The headline of 3/4 of the population wanting racing to be banned being plastered on papers/websites is a worry.

If you ran a You Gov poll asking if respondents are in favour of the current government, it’d probably be 95% against.

That wouldn’t make any headlines.

I am also a member of YouGov and haven’t been invited to contribute to this. Given I have made no secret of my interest in racing in previous surveys it is concerning.
