Fircombe Hall, a 6 year old running in the first race at Catterick today, is one that might have been missed by Weatherbys. ;-)

Couldn’t stand the name Ballyhurry … sounds like the type of name that some snobby, uptight Dame would come up with.

    Botox Has. Another pathetic name.

Minella Cocooner and Minella Crooner being IN THE SAME GENERATION!

Surely Mr Minella could have held on to one of those names for a couple of years.

Oh yes, Beef or Salmon, and some wag then named one Lamb or Cod.

I always felt that Al Boum Photo didn’t have a name befitting of a dual Gold Cup winner.

“Slurricane” won at Killarney on Tuesday. A hurricane. Made of slurry. Lovely.

Maybe they should have lost those Gold Cups on purpose, due to not having a name deemed unfitting.

To truly appreciate the name Al Boum Photo you have to awaken your inner matt Chapman and really exaggerate the boum into bouuuummmmmmm

Or speak French. It’s not that bad a name for francophones.

Refused to back Mcfabulous, always had an irrational hatred to that name. I get a cappucino from Maccie D’s every day. Sometimes a hash brown, sometimes sausage egg muffin, sometimes mcflurry, sometimes mccrispy, sometimes mcchicken sandwich.

    Oh no, I am Mcfabulous!

I remember that too. It finished third on its debut live on TV. Graham Goode commentated on the race. As the horses passed the winning line, Mr Goode quipped “… and Egg scrambled home for third” 🍳

Having been raised on the internet I always raised an eyebrow at A Plus Tard.

I’m puzzled too, Miss Woodford

And what did the daughter of Starspangledbanner Navan 2yo maiden winner do to be called “Unexpected Issues”
Can we blame AI too for such a shocking lack of imagination?

https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/tard#English It’s an offensive term for someone with an intellectual disability.
