Proper highlight for me The Wokingham, love this race, but very questionable record in it the last few years.

Swindler looks the obvious one at the top of the market, while I’ll try hard not to get tempted by Barbill yet again.

I think that Mr Lupton is interesting too, but only one for me at the moment….

Chiefofchiefs is a horse I’ve always rated. It’s been a quiet Antepost for me at Royal Ascot, I’ve not had a good swing at anything, so I can afford to here, even with no hint that he’s going. His price certainly suggests that he isn’t going, he should be half the 33’s he is currently.

His run in last year’s Balmoral suggested more to come, and I’d love to see him line up.

Chiefofchiefs balloted out, and no standout selection right now, though Mubakker looks the obvious one.

    Current shortlist

    Gulliver
    Recon Mission

Top three on my ratings are:

    Lethal Lunch
    Konchek
    Summerghand

Lethal Lunch has been steadily progressive over the last couple of years.
Konchek has spent most of his time in Pattern races. Two efforts in handicaps not entirely convincing, though enough to gain him a decent rating on my scale, and soft ground would be a question mark.
Summerghand is regularly thereabouts in similar events, in the first 5 in 5 out of 6 big field 6 furlong handicaps last season.

Yeah, he should give a good account Coops, and I’m hoping for a decent run now with this going.

A race I’ve had a fair bit of success with over the years, mostly placed at big prices, but did back Interception @ 25/1 (Won 10/1) back in my RaceCaller days putting her forward for consideration on the Thursday, two days before the race.
Tomorrow will be doing a write up on my selection for the consolation race which opens the card as can’t latch onto anything for the main race that has the high draw needed.Yes gents the one consistent thing all week in sprints has been the domination of high numbers and don’t see any particular reason why Saturday should be any different.
    good luck to all

Stone of Destiny for me each way. I’ll take 6 places, and I think 20-1 is worth taking.

Spanish City for me in this one. He’s run in some of the big 7f races at Ascot and
faired well enough, but he’s speedy enough for the 6f here given the break neck pace
this will be run at and a bit of stamina wouldn’t go amiss as the ground might still
have a bit of give in it, or worse it might be tacky as it dries up. He got pegged back
late on last time out at Newmarket over 7f, I think he’ll go well here at 16/1.
