No surprise to see Inthewaterside at the head of the market. He is surely better than he’s shown so far over hurdles but I like The Doyen Chief. He jumps well, travels and finds. For me he is a very fair price at 15/2 and I’ve backed him, win only.

Things clearly haven’t gone to plan with him
But 120 gives him a lot of potential wiggle room
Given how hard he pulls I suspect he will either win easily or finish last but seems worth the risk at the prices
January 21, 2024 at 16:42 #1678147I misread the OP completely thought he was putting up inthewaterside
Was counting my money once cobden went straight to the front and he had settled
Won cosily in the end finding plenty when challenged

The Doyen Chief on the other hand received the patented TYT kiss of death. Didn’t jump, didn’t travel and eventually unshipped Tom Cannon. Still think he has potential but maybe one for next season now when sent over fences and upped to 3 miles.
