Bible Lord could sneak into a place if his jumping holds up, has some good course form which is a plus.
Theatrical Moment, Bensalem and The Package the obvious trio.
March 15, 2010 at 18:56 #282555The William hill trophy looks like a tight race to me. Character Building looks the pick although only had one outing finishing nowhere I hope he’s successful tomorrow (just like last year’s meeting ) before going on to Aintree.

I’ve backed him but little brother is convinced tomorrow is a prep for the Grand National and has backed him at 33/1 for that race as a result. Hopefully he’s wrong and tomorrow is the day!

Hopefully you can both be celebrating, you tomorrow and your brother April 10th.
Thought he had a chance last year until they pulled him out.March 16, 2010 at 00:24 #282671Theatrical Moment, Bensalem and The Package the obvious trio.
Couldn’t agree more.
Bensalem could be some force if his jumping was more consistent, but you have to worry about him going up against these experienced rivals.
Theatrical Moment has to improve, but you can’t rule that out.
The Package
strikes me as the most likely winner. This horse has been laid out for the race by connections who know how to get the job done. Boasts a course victory this season and impossible to see him anywhere else but thereabouts at the business end.
March 16, 2010 at 08:32 #282717Agree, can’t see The Package being out of the frame, probably the only horse with little or no negatives in his credentials, stays, jumps, perfect weight, proven in handicaps…will definitely have a play.

Bensalem was going the best in that field then and his jumping was brilliant until he fell 2 out.
March 16, 2010 at 14:48 #282859Great finish…just missed out.
Had a nice ew treble on Get Me Out Of Here, Sizing Europe and The Package.
Well done to anyone who had the winner.
March 16, 2010 at 14:49 #282860If there’s a loud, mad woman near the winner’s enclosure, it will be Moehat!
March 16, 2010 at 14:54 #282862The winner had the form to run well but he is such a monkey of a horse to follow.
Nice after race interview for once. Very together but with some emotion. I think that was the intention of the channel 4 but it often doesnt come off so well

March 16, 2010 at 14:55 #282863Miles off for me again, when does the flat season start again?

Looking at this thread and the tipping one, looks likes Grimes is having an absolute wow of a festival so far!

Well done Grimes keep it up, at least someone other than the bookies is winning..
March 16, 2010 at 14:58 #282867Bensalem was bombing when he came down

well done winners
March 16, 2010 at 17:16 #282958Hi Zamorstan
I’ve learnt that getting in early for the prices seems essential with Cheltenham, plus a scatter-shot approach can pay off, but I had 44s about Chief DG, just a pound on A New Story at 33s (The RPR made it an emphatic form choice – though I couldn’t see it….).
Someone – I must check who and thank them – raved about Sizing Europe’s jumping on here, so I won a little on that (I had already bet the same on the first two favourites, and put a pound and two pounds on two outsiders). The way he stood off one of his fences had to be seen to be believed. Probably, plenty more I hadn’t spotted.
On the last, I lost £4 (or £7) with forecasts with Quevega, having only put a part-saver on it at the last minute.
We’ve been having quite a torrid time of things lately, financially, one way and another, so the momentary change of luck is very welcome.
You soon become blase though. I felt quite cheated I didn’t have Binocular! Especially since I’d been wondering about Geraghty saying he thought he was the best horse he’d sat on.
March 16, 2010 at 19:03 #282992Gerald; I was screaming the place down, and ran [well, hobbled] to the winners enclosure to take lots of photos. I love this horse and, yes, I did have a last minute bet on him. But I didn’t know about Casey Jones and it has totally taken the edge of my elation, especially with his travel sickness problem. He must be somewhere saying ‘I said I didn’t want to go there’. Poor, poor horse.
