Galant Nuit is entered in William Hill Trophy & Kim Muir. I previously posted that if he runs anywhere, it would be the Kim Muir. This was mainly on basis that Kim Muir race is a furlong further, a lower class race and he was less likely to get balloted out. Nina Carberry is booked. All of that still holds but there is a slight chance of a rethink.
Galant still needs luck to get in the Will Hill; he is 40th on the list for 24 places but if he did then it does have some appeal:
– He would carry close to 10st1lb
– Ground is more likely to be good to soft than anything, this race being the third on the first day.
– Ground will probably dry through the week. (Kim Muir is Thurs)
– The biggest negative is the slightly shorter distance. He will be put in Midlands National too…but no firm decisions as yet.
If he runs at Cheltenham it is still more likely the Kim Muir….but that is less certain than it was a week ago.
Not sure if any that is clear/or of help!!!
He is in good order, has had a decent preparation. He stays & jumps & prefers soft ground but handles good. His main target had been The Eider but that was abandoned.
March 12, 2010 at 07:51 #281832I have backed
New Alco
e/w @ 33/1 in the Wlliam Hill. I think Gallant Nuit would be better off going to Uttoxeter myself.
March 12, 2010 at 08:38 #281833I was really cheesed about the Eider, thought he’d win. He’s definitley high on my list of ones to follow. Thanks for the information.
March 12, 2010 at 09:22 #281837I like
Nenuphar collonges
for this,he ticks every box, except he can plough through his fences!! 30"s and 25"s are my prices! Thetotherone has a touch of class and Razor royale would have to be in the mix should they run! I notice money for
Calgary Bay
too,if he was to run,he would be the biggest danger to all,i have taken 20"s just in case!
March 12, 2010 at 22:19 #282003Kicks for Free seems to have a nice profile for this, previous festival form, wont be hindered by the ground and has a nice racing weight. 25’s looks a nice e/w bet.
March 12, 2010 at 22:27 #282004Ogee, Chief Dan George and Tatenen in the WH for me; Wind Instrument and Pomme Tiepy in the KM.
Good luck one and all. Don’t we need it for Cheltenham!
March 13, 2010 at 07:38 #282023is ogee definite runner
March 13, 2010 at 08:37 #282029I’ve been sweet on Qhilimar for the Kim Muir since he fell at the November meeting – think Alan Jones is planning on booking Ollie Greenall too if possible and although with this yard yard-form isn’t something I usually consider they had a well backed winner yesterday.
March 13, 2010 at 17:08 #282118Sorry, gundasta, I don’t know, though I’ve heard nothing to the contrary.

Just had a look at this race and Kicks For Free stands out like a sore thumb to me, only 20s left now but happy enough with that.
March 15, 2010 at 16:43 #282512Think you need a proven 3 miler for this (last 9/10 won over 3m+) and as KFF never won over 2m5f, doubtful stayer for me, quite easily dismissed. It all points to Bensalem and Theatrical Moment for me, especially the latter if it stays good.
March 15, 2010 at 17:41 #282533Exmoor Ranger for tomorrow not got a tip yet for other race
March 15, 2010 at 17:46 #282537Exmoor Ranger and Tother One for me in the William Hill.
March 15, 2010 at 17:50 #282538The Package for me; really like the look of Ogee but there’s no course form. Would love The Chief to win and may have an ew on him tomorrow.
March 15, 2010 at 17:54 #282541Ground is perfect for Bible Lord, 66/1 with the bookies, just got 19 for a place on the exchanges. Could spring a surprise from a canny yard.
March 15, 2010 at 18:00 #282542Doesn’t stay and terribly out of form?
Bensalem is properly chucked in here.
March 15, 2010 at 18:10 #282544Ogee for me.
I have followed Bible Lord over the cliff and under the sea over the last couple of years. Please not tomorrow!
