Milldam 16s win only (BOG)
February 7, 2026 at 12:21 #1753783What was once one of the highlights of the season is now just an ordinary decent handicap, however the winner still needs to be picked, so it’s All In You at 6s for me.
February 7, 2026 at 14:39 #1753806It’s two outsiders for me. Bucephalus and Go Dante, both 40-1 ew
February 7, 2026 at 15:03 #1753813Un Sens A La Vie for me.
February 7, 2026 at 15:12 #1753817All In You and Milldam for me. Both proven on the ground and that can make all the difference in those conditions.
February 7, 2026 at 15:25 #1753823One horse race. wd winners.
February 7, 2026 at 15:29 #1753824WD Ruby and VF, the weight was nothing to him. WD DBR with those big ews too, and VtC.
February 7, 2026 at 15:30 #1753825Well done VF and Ruby
February 7, 2026 at 15:31 #1753826Cobden rode him like he didn’t give two fecks about anything else in the race. They knew what they had today.
Some performance under that weight.
WD winners.
February 7, 2026 at 15:38 #1753828Well done, Ruby and VF. 👍
Think we’ve just seen the 2027 Arkle winner there. That was some performance under top weight, albeit off just 138; you rarely see top handicap hurdles won in that fashion – it was a total demolition job.

Big statement there.
Personally i dont trust the form completely on ground like that, he won rated in the 130s and some of his rivals wanted better ground including the Twiston Davies horse so was the margin of victory exaggerated? Nicholls said they might supplement him in the Champion Hurdle if conditions were similar, if he was top class and speedy they wouldn’t worry about ground conditions and just say yes without hesitation. That doesn’t mean to say he can’t improve though next season but that looked like a staying perfornance than a speedy 2 mile performance to me. Those are my thoughts today, time will tell as to how he progresses and best trip.February 7, 2026 at 15:55 #1753831Thank you all. It was nice to see Mr. Nicholls still being able to have a big Saturday winner.
Well done to the EW players.February 7, 2026 at 16:07 #1753834“Big statement there.”
Sorry – I’ll stick to backing short-priced favourites each-way at imaginary prices in future.
February 7, 2026 at 16:23 #1753836I was just giving my thoughts on what i saw today, it is a forum after all.
February 7, 2026 at 16:28 #1753837WD winners.
Had him in a short-priced double, but the 1st horse in my bet didnt win.Chucked a few bob at him for the CH NRNB. 25s with bet365.
February 7, 2026 at 18:23 #1753851Well done Ruby & Viking – easy
Also with the place VTCFebruary 7, 2026 at 19:19 #1753863“I was just giving my thoughts on what i saw today, it is a forum after all”…
Mike, my first thought was what if PN has finally got another possible festival winner and Cobden has to ride a JP no hoper…! - AuthorPosts
