Just noticed there betfair removed somebodys post on this topic…
Obviously betfair saw the race and are now concerned. Perhaps an investigation..
Not for me to say, but strange how they removed it….
April 5, 2010 at 14:38 #287690Having just watched the race,my initial feelings are Tom Queally rode a peach of a race on Barneys Horse Aviso! I certainly didn"t feel Kieran did anything wrong "on this occassion" anyway!

Your surname wouldn’t be Reynolds by any chance would it?
Curious Rob

I would tend to disagree.
Two furlongs out – he went across to the stands rail (perhaps to keep him straight, Im not a jockey so I cant lay blame or praise for that move) but he literally was headed 200 yards out (barely headed) and rather ask his horse to battle he drops his hands…….
Perhaps the horse was tired and Fallon didnt want to ask him for more… As I said Im not a jockey but for me Fallon rode a stinker, a stinker that seemingly was intentional i.e when Quelly drew alongside Fallon dropped his hands rather than ask him to try.
I do not like Fallon, cant understand why he is allowed back in the sport. Surely if we are trying to attract new viewers to the sport we should be ridding the sport of people like him.
I dont have a problem with bad jockeys that try, its the ones who dont try for ungenuine reasons that annoy me.
As I said I am not a jockey so I do stand open for correction – the horse might of been tiring so bad that Fallon couldnt ask him to battle. Just seemed a rather suspicious ride and as I said I dont back horses so aint pocket talking.
Your point on Queally – he did ride a great race, he rides straight courses particuarly well. Hes a good jockey , I like him

Way over my head im afraid Rob.
If he is linked to Fallon than I do not know him or wish to know him…
April 5, 2010 at 14:50 #287698Just watched the race again Joncol!Your suspicions are coming from the "Finish" Kieran rode and the Curley factor! What i will say is Kieran took a look across inside the last furlong and rather than get low and chuck the coals on,he more or less stood up and was far more tender, shall we say than he could have been, the horse was one of the first to come under pressure and Kieran certainly did more hard riding in the middle of the race than the end of it!I think the winner would still have won had Fallon gone into overdrive but it would have been a lot closer!

I do wonder if you are winding me up, but …
he’s the guy who thumped Keiron Fallon at Lingfield.

Oh ok, I knew the incident, I didnt know the chaps name to be honest..
I take your point on Fallon riding earlier in the race than the Curley horse but surely an argument is to be made that he should ride to the line rather than standing up…
It just seemed a very strange part of the race to stand up i.e when he was challenged….

"Just watched the race again Joncol!Your suspicions are coming from the "Finish" Kieran rode and the Curley factor"
Just to say my suspicions are actually no way related to "The Curley Factor" whatsoever. Im referring to the riding of Fallons horse and not to who the winner is trained by.
My opinion is no way referring to a Curley horse, it could be a Stoute,Cecil,Ryan horse for all I care. Im simply referring to the ride of the 2nd horse. The winner does not concern me.

Barry, your own play on words leaves nothing to the imagination!
April 5, 2010 at 16:22 #287726The quick contact facility on the site is busted but I suggest someone from administration looks at this thread given the subject’s previous willingness to pursue libel cases!
April 5, 2010 at 16:40 #287729I have deleted the opening post.
Joncol, please be careful with your words.

Cheers
