What happens if Barizan, Peddlers Cross and Overturn all meet in the same race later in the NH season? It’s not impossible maybe it’s even probable
July 29, 2010 at 18:41 #309765Whoever has the pace and stays furthest in the conditions, I’d of thought.

Interesting alright but Peddlers Cross for me is an exceptional horse
Not many horse do the Cheltenham/Aintree double, in fact more fail the achiever this.
In terms of who would make the running I think without doubt the answer would be Barizan.

Joncol, I’d have to agree 100% with your conclusions, I also think Pedlar’s would be the easiest to settle. I’d love to see the race though, new course record where ever it was run?

Well I think any race that Barizan runs in will always threaten course records given how quick he goes off..
It all really depends on where they now go with Overturn.
Im sure the handicapper will raise him a considerable amount giving them no option but to go down the champion route, but I dare say that route will be a different one to that of Overturn and the only race they could meet in will be the Champion hurdle at Cheltenham
Certainly wets the appitite for the season, not far off now

If I were the connections of Overturn I would have the Melbourne Cup as the long term objective.
Such a versatile horse, if he could handle the trip over there I would love to see him run in it one day…

Peddlers Cross is an exceptional talent and can probably be ridden anywhere, but he travels so well that he’s always going to best tracking a decent pace.
I’d be surprised if Overturn ever clashed with his stablemate.
