Hereford should be made to play their home games on another ground if Edgar Street is unsuitable.
The issue is some teams will potentially be at a disadvantage when a fresh from all the postponed games Hereford play them. Whereas later on, some teams may benefit when facing a Hereford side that is having to play three games in a week.
It isn’t a level playing field and could affect the integrity of the league.
February 3, 2026 at 17:35 #1753453They also expect Saturdays match to be called off, maybe they will fold again before the season ends.
February 3, 2026 at 17:54 #1753455The situation cannot be helping their finances, for sure.
Dropping into the Southern League would be a huge blow. I think they are the best supported team in NLN after Macclesfield, so they really ought to be pushing for promotion or a play off place.
February 5, 2026 at 05:35 #1753538Cobbs managed a draw and as always when you dont bet a regular goal scorer pick like Dyche, he nets.
Clearly no one wants to play for a team at the bottom..
From BBC
But two forwards – both unnamed – that Nolan was pursuing on Monday to help in their fight against League One relegation slipped through his grasp.Having agreed a deal, one of the players in question was not able to travel to Sixfields or the club’s Moulton training ground in time so was sent forms via DocuSign to complete, which he failed to do.
February 6, 2026 at 22:55 #1753725Darlington at home tomorrow. I would like to attend but the weather forecast is making me nervous. There is plenty of rain about and I am not sure how much more the Haig Avenue pitch can take.
The game against Peterborough Sports in September had to be abandoned early in the second half due to a waterlogged pitch and the game against Chester a few weeks later might have suffered a similar fate if the rain had arrived a bit earlier.
Hereford is off, to no one’s surprise.
February 7, 2026 at 06:55 #1753737Its been a bit wet and windy in the area CAS, Ive been fixing some dirty old machine in Knowsley for a few days.
February 7, 2026 at 06:57 #1753738Northampton Town V Stevenage
Stevenage on a poor run, Cobbs on a poor run. Any visiting team Sixfields out of form usually win. Hope that changes today, with a Cobbs win 11/5
Brackley Town V Solihull Moors
Both teams on good runs, probably a draw, but home win at 13/8 for me
Halesowen Town V Banbury Utd
Banbury on a roll, Halesowen tough place to go, Draw at 12/5
Bet was placed Thursday; prices may have changed.

February 7, 2026 at 19:04 #1753856A frustrating afternoon. 1-0 down early after a blatant foul on our keeper, which the referee and the linesman were the only people in Haig Avenue that didn’t see. Even the Darlington players were looking around at the referee and expecting him to disallow it.
Fortunately Darlington gave away a stupid penalty about 10 minutes later to allow us to get level. Then we had two good chances to take the lead and another decent chance early in the second half but couldn’t take them.
There was a sense of inevitability that they would take the lead. It looked like the game was slipping away but fortunately Slew buried one off the underside of the crossbar in added time.
I think we were value for the point but it was a winnable game. I would like to see us get at least a point against Chorley on Tuesday and then beat seldom seen Hereford next Saturday.
