A FORMER racehorse owner will spend Christmas behind bars after being jailed for running a sex-for-sale sauna.

Hugh O’Donnell, a major punter during the 1990s when his string of horses, many featuring the word ’Mental’, were trained by Alan Bailey and Derek Haydn Jones, was arrested when police swooped on a house in Glasgow’s west end in June 2003.

O’Donnell initially claimed the lap-dance poles were for disabled visitors and flashing disco lights provided an aid for autistic children. Chains, shackles and mirror ceilings were said to be “just decorationâ€ÂÂ

Marvellous stuff. Mr O’Donnell is what we term a "character" in our neck of the woods, only we make rabbit ears when we say it. We also make rabbit ears when we say "rabbit ears" too. It gets a bit confusing to be honest.
