2.45 Ascot 1m Fillies Conditional

It may be worth opposing obvious fav Italian Girl  (5/2)who showed immaturity (and not that much success for a Danehill Dancer) as a 2yo and winning may not possibly be only priority today.

I’m going to take a chance on  Channon’s Alvohera 13/2 (9/4 a place) who showed she had speed in her debut at Windsor. Subsequent engagements at Chantilly and Newmarket may not have worked out for her and she should relish today’s fast ground.

I have to admit that having looked at her siblings, I thought the fast ground would be a negative for Alvohera (I don’t think any of them won on any ground with Firm in the description).

I agree with your disenthusiasm(?) for Italian Girl – she might be alright but the stable could be in better form and it is very conceivable that she might need a bit further than this to produce her best form.

I thought the Gerard Butler filly was the most interesting, but the value appears to have gone now…
