In the Nottingham 4.00, MOONLIT SKIES looks outstanding according to my ratings, 6pts ahead of the next best, Baskerville.
I think 7/2 is a very fair price and I wouldn’t expect it to be those odds come race time.
October 18, 2006 at 10:02 #67424Moonlit Skies in the 4:00 Nott is lightly raced and must have a good chance if handling the soft conditions but I have bet e/way at odds of 7/1 on John Terry who can run well fresh and likes soft ground. Trainer often does well with this type of horse in the autumn.
Last year’s newmarket run of Nawaadi suggests that this horse will like the soft ground in the 4:30 Nottingham. Trainer has been out of form but had a winner yesterday. I’ve backed Nawaadi e/way at 4/1.
