FLAME BEARER
Win
Looks progressive enough to take this under the dreaded penalty.April 4, 2022 at 11:12 #1591097Bourbali band Flame bearer did it nicely yesterday while the bumper runner at Fairyhouse won beating five Mullins runners in the process.
Hunter chase
At kelso
TAKETHEPUNISHMENT
Win
Has an outstanding record over points
2211212
His last win was under today’s jockey.
Hasn’t been under rules for seven years since finishing sixth in a bumper at wetheby.
Behind some decent sorts that day.
Beaten in a ptp by Frankie’s fire but she is 0/14 under rules.
This veteran capable of a bold show here.
Points form doesn’t always work out going over fences but must hold a strong claim here on what is a fences debut at a ripe age.
Jockey has won over rules on a horse whose form crosses with that of two of today’s rivals given that Alone no more was a staying on fourth to that runner (Rio Des Echanault) while Frankie’s fire beat that horse in a ptp. So hopefully the jockey is the key to the horse’s chance here…..April 4, 2022 at 12:53 #1591109Redcar 1pm
PRIMROSE BRIDGE
Is a likely winner here.
Only one of two runners with racecourse experience.
Runner up in the Broklesbury last time.
The third and fifth ran first and second on Friday.
I’m not betting odds on where it can be helped, so the only angle here is the winning distance.
PRIMROSE BRIDGE
To win by 2 lengths or more.
PRIMROSE BRIDGE
Got to the front soon enough at Doncaster and was eased when the winner went on. So the proximity to the running on field may have been flattering…
If PRIMROSE BRIDGE can be settled early on and then let down he can perhaps kick on and win going away to get the distance required. Of course there may be something as smart in the field as the Broklesbury winner, we will see….

One who did settle was ZEPHINA and David Evans runner showed the benefit of racecourse experience to run on for third at 20/1.
David Evans you are a genius and when I select your runners I am rarely disappointed.April 4, 2022 at 13:25 #1591117Haijam

You would be in clover as
TAKETHEPUNISHMENT
Bolted up by 19 lengths on his chase debut.
This was an excellent return to rules 2575 days after running sixth in a bumper at wetheby.
ZIM BABY stayed ahead of the field having got to the rail before running back to the centre of the track. Won readily.
ZEPHINA ran on to take third place at a very tasty 20/1 behind the Broklesbury runner up.April 5, 2022 at 12:51 #1591226Pontefract

The only maiden in the field.
Joanna Mason’s only ride.
Grandfather Mick Easterby’s only runner.
Drawn in stall 5. (Average stall of first three home last year).
Very unlikely winner but unexposed.
Finished down the field all three starts and ran green on penultimate run. Long absence to deal with.
