Berlin Tango denied by a neck. Selections second and third.

    Catterick 1153
    BOLSOVER BILL win
has a five pound penalty for a course win here.
Dylan Kitts ten pound claim is handy and if you can forgive the jockey his foibles he has a good chance here, having run up a collection of crashes and spills on one or two steering jobs…
    Fellow course and distance winner
    RELKADAM each way
can give him the most to do off top weight and Tim Easterby excells in these races.
Lots of runners in with chances on form but BOLSOVER BILL sets the standard here…

    Leicester 12.10

    RED DIRT ROAD
    Win
    The unbeaten horse here
Has to give six pounds but some smart form over cobbetts cross in points which ties in well with some very good Irish runners.
    Mount tempest
    Each way
    For the in form Skeltons.
I love the father Ted sketch where Ted tries to explain the distance and perspective of distance using model cows
It could be well placed here in the upcoming maiden hurdle at limerick to help jockeys stay in touch with the leaders…

    Limerick 1220
    SHANBALLY KID win
    10/11 -1/1
Shanbally kid debuts for Willie Mullins for Gigginstown and his other runner on form may actually go better but given the connections I think this one will be put forward first and am happy to be wrong here.
And at 3/1 the winning distance too of over seven lengths…

    Wrong wrong.
    LEICESTER 1245
    UNEXPECTED PARTY
    LOUGHDERG ROCCO
    GENTLEMAN AT ARMS
Bring decent form into this affair.
Unexpected party looks a class act having run in the coral cup and has faced Jonbon and mcfabulous in two chases and been second both runs.
Won’t be running into either of them here in a race the Skeltons have won twice in the last four runnings. A small win bet accompanied by a combination trifecta and you’d be very unlucky as I’ve been two races today to come away without profit.
    UNEXPECTED PARTY win

    Alexander selection
    Leopardstown
    1.10

    MINELLA TIMES
    RODANICHE
    Both each way
    MAXXUM
    Win
Maxxum is the speculative selection based on the Alexander system, but minella times returning to hurdling after a fall in the grand national would be no suprise getting back to form off a lowly mark.

    2.20
    Leopardstown
    GALVIN
    Win
Not a straightforward ride and moreso with the retirement of Davy Russell.
Sam Ewing takes the ride and despite running badly recently the defection of A plus yard givens hope here even though looks second string to conflated.
Won race last year and won again at punchestown but allover form not the best….
    CONFLATED
    Win
    The cover bet.

    PLAYFUL SAINT
    Win
    ISSAM
    Each way
Playful saint brings strong form to the table here for the Skeltons.
While Daryl Jacob returns from Ireland for just one ride and this french newcomer with a win under the belt could be anything.

If you haven’t already seen it an owner has come on to the forum to make a case for his horse running a good race against the odds.
I’m inclined to agree he is overpriced and I just wished there were more than six runners here.
    Leopardstown 2.55
    FREEDOM TO DREAM
    Each way
Peter Fahey has his string in very good order and Willie Mullins I am maximus has trouble going the other way round and flopped last time. The ex Nicky Henderson runner is said to have made “huge improvement” and on that statement is odds on here. Put FREEDOM TO DREAM in his hands and he’d be a similar price too. So thank you for the heads up and given this is only a starting point for the build up to better things this winter freedom to Dream this run is a learning curve.
Therefore with a possibility that maximus doesn’t run to form, this is an Alexander selection and no loss if he does…

The winning distance made the bet one to nothing on freedom to Dream where a bad blunder took him out of contention early on.
I am maximus was seen off well by the winner by a tasty 8 Lengths. A moral Alexander on the distance at least.

    Catterick the lucky last
    3.25
    NOTNOWLINDA
    Win

    RED AMAPOLA
    Each way

Bags of weight to carry for NOTNOWLINDA but has been full of promise nonetheless.
Red amopola has in contrast shown very little and receives a double application of first time headgear.
This is a novice hurdle and NOTNOWLINDA would be carrying more weight than most of these in any event of asking and can put this race to bed if the wind op does not speak in favour of Billam’s legacy who commands respect… That one can give the selection the most to do.

Stellar run by notnowlinda and Bridget Andrews grandstand finish from both jockeys.

    Newcastle 4.25
    WINNING DISTANCE
    OVER 2 LENGTHS
    13/8 ANY HORSE
    POSITIVE FORCE
    Each way
On flat debut for local trainer Rebecca Menzies. Has got the most mileage of all of these with two places over a mile.
Not at all fancied and left Kevin Ryan and sent out hurdling under Brian Hughes, pulled up when reaching required distance. Should be spot on now and Paul Mulrenhan an interesting anything of course can happen with this rider but he at least knows where the finish line is just depends on which one he chooses….
    Reverse forecast with
The favourite here CENTRAL HALL up from Suffolk for just one race… and this outfit are odds on here and ripe to be taken on….

Just missed out on the place due to a lack of runners but POSITIVE a good third and the favourite was duly well beaten by the Clive cox exile by the predicted wide margin which paid out nicely @ 13/8 to cover the two losing bets.

    Newcastle 4.55

    Tickets
    Win
Progressive and well clear when nabbed close home by canny fettle here on sole visit.
They were 4.5 lengths clear of the field.
Canny fettle sold out to middle east and rated 77.
Lots of placed form and returning here off same mark will be hard to peg back after good run at Southwell.

    The danger
    ***********
Parallel world was third in last week’s winning trifecta and showed that despite being 8 lengths back in third, the form of brewing and beattie is back was solid.
ABRUZZO MIA just failed to get up in second but justified the each way call.

    BEDAZZLING third.

    Newcastle 6.25
    SHARK TWO ONE

Running off a career low rating can mean two things.
In decline or poised to strike.
SHARK TWO ONE has reached that summit and can get lower but not much ..
Paul Mulrenhan again takes the ride here for the first time for the horse but for this thread the third time this week. Thus far he has been between three of his winners.
This former Richard Fahey inmate won off a mark of 93 just two years ago and has shown no sign of coming to hand as yet.
    SHARK TWO ONE

Not much in the way of Alexanders but
The best Alexander qualifier had never been placed before and ran on the other side of the world in Hong Kong earlier!!!
*FOREVER GLORIOUS 11/1 winner at Happy Valley
    *BOLSOVER BILL 9/2 – 4/1 won easily
*CONFLATED @ 2/1 Ground down all rivals
*NOTNOWLINDA a game winner in a brilliant finish.
*PLAYFUL SAINT the biggest margin winner of the day.
*MAXXUM did it well in Ireland.
*Freedom to Dream didn’t get near after a bad blunder but the winning distance prediction of over five lengths paid well @ 13/8.
*And a second Winning margin bet @ 13/8
*£38.40 LOUGHDERG ROCCO led home the trifecta.

    *Limerick bumper winning margin selected
Over five lengths on the bumper thread.

ABRUZZO MIA (each way) very narrow margin runner up. so close that a length longer track would have won!
SHARK TWO ONE 4th each way @ 18/1
Tricasts and winners are on the up now and the less selections the better.

12 winning selections including trifecta and three winning margins, and two each ways.
