Micky Hammond makes the long trip up north with the one horse. English and Irish raider down in the ratings and low enough to make an impact on yard debut.
Always a yard for the touch, the last one being myboymax @ 66/1 earlier this month.

A massive drop in standard here for Willie Mullins’ runner having faced facile Vega twice in graded company. A maiden hurdle makes this a relatively straightforward assignment. Patrick Mullins who has the pick of the runners here plumps for this one.
Hard to see this one beat but of course it is racing in Ireland and anything can happen.
Nonetheless this is an above average maiden hurdle full of winners from Gordon Elliott, Henry De Bromhead and Willie Mullins so any mistakes will be jumped on.
HAVING CHECKED OUT THE PROFILES OF RUNNERS IN THIS RACE, IT IS FAR FROM STRAIGHTFORWARD.
    NO BET.
Embassy Gardens has course and distance Tag man made a good debut. This race way too hot to call and could be unexpectedly close so not even a winning distance selection here.

Weird race to watch that, fav looked like it had too much to do but stayed on very well, though looked like the horse wanted to pull itself up when it hit the front! Unlucky with the winning distance bet mate I think that probably would have come in if the fav had broken well and gone on from the front like it did LTO.

    Hi Ben,
    Thank you for popping in.

I’m ignoring all the elements that normally give me an edge and a significant one.
I think since that guy came on here and said “are you on crack?” Immediately after I’d put up a 33/1 winner has done something.
Having said that half a dozen winners can’t be all bad and 12 winning selections yesterday too if the trifectas and each ways are added.
But I’ll get back to doing Alexander selections based on the draw and a firm belief in the physics that make the system so unique.
A selection based on form up in a minute….

    SOUTHWOLD
    Win

Glam Puss ran into Hickory on debut, that horse was returning from a three year break and won easily before turning out rapidly and winning again.
Stablemate Southwold was an impressive winner here too last time out. They both hold strong claims.
Yard say they have limited opportunity to place them both so line them up together with favoritism for Southwold.

    Michael Palin
Made a film back in the early nineties called East of Ipswich, based on a family holiday to southwold. Cica 50s or 60s. Comedy light entertainment in the Palin mode.

    EVENING STORY
    Each way
Same yard as the last winning race and their final runner of the year.
I cannot make a very strong case for this one.
But he is at least stepping up in trip after two good placed efforts in stakes races.
Put in as top weight for handicap debut.
Luke Morris has ridden this one before and the horses he’s finished behind have been very progressive so a chance if able to defy the very high draw. This is a nursery but it is a big field so jockey has to get a decent position early on. Nurseries normally favour top half where there are no previous winners, but this is a big field……so that may change plenty of low draw runners in the top end.

    IRELAND’S EYE
    Each way
I used to have a work mate who owned a horse of the same name.
We used to go out and back it religiously on his say so.
I can’t recall it winning. So nothing new here. This one has at least shown bits of ability as did the original just not when we went to back it.

A decade or so on and Ireland’s Eye comes good
@ 5/1 well backed and won going away.
Glam Puss 9/1 won very well earlier on for the Kublers while
Evening Story was up a stone on nursery debut and only found one too good @ 12/1 each way.
