It will be a suprise if James Mchenry can’t kick on here.
Behind him at Southwell last month was ledgend of leros and atwaad prince. Both have won at big prices since and overrule came out from ledgends winning race and won today. Several others have franked the form too.
    LORD SAM’S CASTLE

Glad to have put him up there as he didn’t give his running at all on the last day.
So lord sam’s castle was well backed late doors but some 14/1 was available returns 11/1 winner.

Will be trying to read the final race at Newcastle later.

CATHERINE CHROI was an easy winner last time.
The Irish runner may have a bit more up her sleeve and a small win is the call.

Has done little since leaving Iain jardine for Jim Goldie. He has a bit of hidden class and will come good one day.
Today would be a good time.
Early form was top class in battles with listed and group horses and careers went in opposite directions. Fallen over 30lbs to career low now far cry from racing battleground and beating abduction 3.5 lengths.

The defection on stablemate speaks volumes of the chances for this runner
Twice finished behind Aidan O’Brien’s star horse august Rodin, but more pointedly crypto force and on that one run alone ought to go well here if adapting to the surface.
A million fancied favourites fail here due to the roughness of the races and a turf start would have been a preference. That said O’Brien would have pitched him in on grass if he thought it was a major issue. The fact that he goes over seven again means he should have plenty in reserve.

Godolphin runners on debut are never easy to oppose, they can winter in Dubai where the carrots are much bigger and the proteins in them turn them into super horses. But all that withstanding, magic carrots or not, they often need the run. Sir Micheal stoute has a nice horse going well over the local gallops by all accounts. A sister to group 3 winner regal reality.

Gavin Cromwell’s runner returns from a successful play at juvenile hurdles and looks a classy runner here coming in at near top weight as a reserve. Has won at seven furlongs and and ten further so without a doubt gets the classic trip. In receipt of a boost of free energy as well… every chance. Gets into the race unexpectedly as first reserve, draw immaterial over this trip.

    Round up
Thanks to a nice winning each way double from the soul selection today finished on a nice profit. Lost part of the bet due to so many non runners so it was handy to have flying verse win and supplement the second place of 40/1 shot Cyclop.
    RICCARDI MEDICI did well too
    * There you go.
A nice 25/1 each way to wrap things up at Dundalk a racetrack I love. It is not a lottery and perfectly decipherable…..

    SILKSTONE
    Win
0/21 does not inspire huge confidence but,
This runner had dropped close on 40 lbs in the ratings when going down by a neck to lucky lover boy. That horse won again next time out and continues in good form. Silkstone is upped just two pounds and has a sharp turnaround at the weights with four time seeking misty manna for a two length defeat when they met. Jockey was called out by the stewards for not riding out the finish in fourth that day. SILKSTONE effectively runs off a career low having strated out at 115 and with Emma Chaston smith riding can win for the first time.

    POETIC MUSIC
    Winning distance.
Can make a winning debut over hurdles today.
Last seen when staying on stoutly into sixth place at the champion bumper. The first runner to come out of that race into this sphere.
Sure to appreciate the trip and with the staying speed, if she can jump a fence she’ll win.
This represents a massive drop in class from last March and there is every chance she is good enough.
Tellingly she was the only filly in the champion bumper in receipt of just three pounds and has a listed mares win at Cheltenham in her CV. She is unbeaten outside of the festival with three bumpers wins and is potentially the proverbial “group horse in a handicap” here against her own sex.

The french newcomer JIPEKA MACHIN gets weight from the Churchill Lad but has never jumped a fence in England and under Brian Hughes on debut might need the run despite placed form in France.
So giving away half a stone a small chance is taken on
The CHURCHILL LAD to defy convention and win here.

Awful sights as Thermussa and Sweet Auburn broke down in the same race within moments of each other.
